Chapter # 35 – The Beginning of the End : True Courage –

Notes: Finally a chapter! And guess what no school or any worries all summer! Well maybe a sun burn here and there but I will hopefully get everything written up no problem now! So please give me any feedback you have! Positive or negative!

“I think that I figured it out!” Alissa said as she typed a few more keys on the keyboard. The screen flashed a few times then went blank. “Alright on second thought I still have nothing.” The blonde haired girl went back to the computer trying to get the program to work.

“This is hopeless.” Jessica sighed as she plumped down on her bed again in defeat. They had been trying for the past two days to get the program Amy sent them from Japan.

“We will get it sometime, we can’t be that far off.” Brooke put in her two cents in her optimistic tone.

“Yeah but if we continued like this I don’t think we will ever get this blasted program to work, we have all tried a go at it and nothing seems to work.” Jennifer added as she threw a pillow into the air.

“Well no everyone has tried.” Madison pointed out as she looked to Kevin.

“What me try it?” Kevin asked shocked. “I don’t think I can do any better then you five, why don’t you try to get Amy’s help again. I thought you only had to re program it so that it would accept the Halifax map instead of the Japan map.” Kevin pointed out.

“First off Jessica had to change everything so that it was written in English and not Japanese, you two might be able to speak it but not us.” Alissa chimed in.

“Give it a go Kevin, it isn’t like it can get any worse, only better.” Jessica walked over to Kevin and helped him to his feet. Kevin was still a little weak from having his Heart Stone stolen. But he was recovering quickly enough.

“I… I don’t know.” He protested as Jessica sat him down in the computer chair. He looked around and was greeted by five narrowed eyes. “Alright, alright, I will try!” Kevin opened the program and began to type, cut and paste various material.

After vigorously typing on the keyboard and clicking the mouse for several minutes he held his breathe as he hit the “enter” button. The screen flashed a couple of times then a little voice came up. “Changes Accepted.”

Jessica and the other girls all ran over to Kevin’s side and gave him a big hug. “See told ya.” Jennifer punched Kevin in the shoulder playfully.

“I say we go take a break! We have been at this for four hours!” Jessica pointed. “I bet there is ice cream and strawberries in the freezer!” Jessica got up with Kevin’s hand in hers the pair of them leading down to the kitchen.

 “You disappoint me.” Emperor Valico’s voice was rigid and angry. “I thought I could expect better from both of you! Kurai-ki is still but a boy, but you Shi-ryuu, what happened? You used to kill and take anything without another thought, without any problems! What happened?” Emperor Valico slammed his fist down on the table beside him, smashing it into giant splinters of wood.

Kurai-ki hung his head in shame while Shi-ryuu stood with this ever so smug look on his face refusing to move or pretend that he carried. Emperor Valico went on. “I can’t believe that you are letting five, a mere five short skirted girls and their knight in shinning Armour get in your way!” He bellowed.

“It isn’t as easy as it would sound, they work together in a team, and we have tried to separate them but they continued to fight alongside one another never giving up. They have the will to continue fighting no matter what the odds are.” Kurai-ki pointed out.

Shi-ryuu glared at his younger brother. “They do fight well together, and they have strong powers when they use teamwork. We will just have to raise the stakes a little, make it harder for them to fight, maybe even use their fears against them.” Shi-ryuu suggested.

“Excellent, at least you two take notice to these things, come up with a plan, and do not underestimate your foes because they will surprise you. Make sure that you do not fail this time!” Emperor Valico’s voice echoed through the halls as Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki left.

“So we have to come up with a plan eh? I will make a plan that he won’t expect…” Shi-ryuu mumbled to himself as he walked down the hall the opposite direction of Kurai-ki. Usually the younger demon would take no notice to his brother’s raving and ranking about Emperor Valico but after he had witnessed the encounter Shi-ryuu had with the Beast and a woman he was wearier.

Following down the dark passage Shi-ryuu glanced around, not really caring or taking the usual amount of caution he did when he disappeared into the hidden wall. Kurai-ki followed carefully, not wanting to make a sound he hovered in the air, wings tightly tucked to his body and claws away from and floor, ceiling or wall.

Shi-ryuu’s footsteps came to a stop. Kurai-ki floated to the top and hid in the dark shadows of the leaky pipes and the brick ceiling. “Ah Shi-ryuu, it is earlier then I expected to see you.” The Mistresses voice echoed softly.

“Ah well Emperor Valico didn’t yell at us as long as expected, so what is the plan?” Shi-ryuu asked, his voice was impatient he leaned up against the wall in his customary position.

The beast went to open his mouth but Shi-ryuu quickly cut him off. “Don’t even bother to tell me that impatience will be my downfall, and blah, blah, blah.” He mocked the canine like creature.

The Mistress looked at Shi-ryuu for a few moments before going on with what she had to say. “The Stellar Scouts will be coming here soon, you do realize that don’t you?” She questioned.

“Yeah any numbskull could figure that out, now what is the plan?” He asked as he began to pace back and forth.

“You will have to surprise them before they have the chance to surprise you, they will come and try to attack everyone here.” She paused. “Or you could leave and let the scouts destroy everyone here and when you come back you can have the rest of Emperor Valico’s army in other dimensions to yourself as well as the chance to finally destroy the Stellar Scouts. You cannot allow them to live on they will continue to battle you in this life and the next.”

Shi-ryuu stopped his pacing and looked at the Mistress. “You mean I could just set up Kurai-ki or another lesser demon to guard the entrances and the Stellar Scouts will attack and destroy?” Shi-ryuu asked.

It took a lot for Kurai-ki not to lose his cool and remain where he was. The Mistress nodded from behind the shadows. “Let the Stellar Scouts work their way though my little maze then they will come to Emperor Valico battle him.” He paused. “And if they don’t kill him they will at least weaken him more for me to destroy.”

The Mistress nodded again along with the Beast. “Then if they are still alive from the battle with Emperor Valico I can finish them off, or trap them in an eternal prison which will resemble a hell.” Shi-ryuu laughed obviously impressed with this little plan.

“You are very smart Shi-ryuu, go now and figure out the rest of this plan for yourself and set it into motion, I will wait here for your updates.” With that Shi-ryuu bowed with much more respect then he had ever shown Emperor Valico.

Shi-ryuu walked down the corridor and left, Kurai-ki decided to stay a little longer to see if anything more would be said. The woman stood up looked directly at Kurai-ki and turned to walk away though an unseen door.

“This is the moment that you all have been waiting for!” Jessica said happily as she opened the now working program. Once the loading process was complete a window flashed up. Jessica read it out loud for everyone to hear. “Please choose a energy amount to search for as well as general location.”

“Is there a box where you can select all of the energies?” Madison suggested.

“Yup.” Jessica said as she selected that box. “But we have to search above, below and the actual city one by one.” Jessica added as she read over the new message.

“Start at the top and work to the bottom.” Alissa recommended. Jessica nodded her head and typed in the command. The screen began to flash as they all waited and watched the screen.

The map began to shift to various parts of the city at a surprising rate. Focusing on the cities skyline. Once the screen was done searching another window popped up. “No negative energies found.”

“One down two to go.” Madison said happily as she leaned in closer as she watched Jessica do the search again, this time of the actual city. The screen went through the map carefully, block by block, not missing a single place.

“Where did you find these maps anyway?” Brooke quietly asked from the back of the group.

“Amy helped with that, she told me how to hack into the cities mainframe…” Jessica was cut short when the screen flashed up again. The little voice echoed telling the group of the results.

“No negative energies found, six positive energies discovered.” Jessica pointed to the screen and realized that they were starring at a map of her block and where a little red dot was blinking was the exact point of Jessica’s house.

“Well that is a little creepy.” Kevin pointed out as Jessica tried he search once more. “It is this or nothing.” Kevin added.

All holding their breath as the computer scanned the city under ground, showing maps of the subway, sewers and sewage plants. “Negative energies found.” The computer’s voice came up with a series of flashing dots all in a close area of four city blocks.

“That isn’t that far from here, maybe a twenty minute walk.” Eclipse finally spoke.

“Who needs to walk when I can transport us there?” Jessica pointed out.

“That is very smart of you to think of that Princess Cassandra.” Nova said stepping forward. “What do you propose to do?”

Jessica looked back at the screen. There was more then one color of the flashing dots. “If I remember correctly Amy said that the different dots mean different energy levels. They are measured with something about the wavelengths that their powers give off. Something like ROY. G. BIV.” Jessica waved her hand at the thought of talking more about that.

“Well there appears to be a large number of violet ones, they must be the weaker enemies.” Eclipse pointed out as he turned his head to see Jessica’s reaction, the red head nodded her head.

“So as you go up on the spectrum the next would be indigo, about half as many, then blue, even fewer, green, even less, yellow, a few.” Madison paused and scanned the screen with her eyes. There are two orange, they must be Kurai-ki and Shi-ryuu.”

“While there are three red. Whom do they belong to?” Alissa asked confused.

“One is without a doubt most likely Emperor Valico, but the other two I am not sure.” Eclipse said in a worried tone. “Are you sure that you six are ready to fight this?” Eclipse asked looking at each in turn.

Jessica looked around the group and they each gave her a nod of approval. “Yeah we can handle it. But maybe we should wait and try this tomorrow?” Jessica suggested as she looked down at her watch. It was seven o’clock at night.

“That way we can all get a good nights sleep. How about we meet at Alissa’s up by the creek at eight o'clock in the morning?” Brooke suggested. “I know it is early-” Brooke went on from the moans and groans. “-But it is better to do this early so we can have the entire day to make our way to the centre of their base where Emperor Valico is obviously situated.”

“That sounds good.” Alissa nodded.

“Yeah no problems here.” Madison shrugged her shoulders.

“I don’t see why not, Nova and myself will be there on time.” Jennifer added.

“I’m in.” Kevin approved with a curt nod.

“So eight o’clock it is.” Jessica smiled and stood up to stretch her legs.

“Make sure you rest up tonight girls, you have a very big and long day ahead of you tomorrow.” Eclipse looked at each of the Scouts in turn. “And Kevin.” He turned to the young man. “You will make sure you protect them when I cannot?” Eclipse asked, it was more of a demand then a question. Kevin nodded his head in understanding, placing a protective arm over Jessica’s shoulders.

Jessica led her friends down to the front door and said the good-byes. As she turned to walk back up the stairs she soon found herself in Kevin’s arms. “Come on Jessica I am going to run you a bath, you are going to enjoy it while you relax and read.” Kevin began to carry the surprised girl up the stairs. “Then after the bath when you are all dried off and in your pajamas I am going to give you a massage and send you off to bed.” Kevin said smiling.

Blushing Jessica looked up into Kevin’s eyes. “You don’t have to do all of that for me, really.” Jessica said modestly.

“Well I am and you had better enjoy it because this is going to be the biggest bubble bath you have ever had!” Kevin knew Jessica couldn’t refuse a bubble bath.

“Alright, as long as you promise that I can massage you as well.” Jessica looked Kevin seriously in his soft blue eyes. He nodded his head as he set her down on the bathroom and began to run a bath loading in the bubble bath.

Jessica fell asleep in Kevin’s arms and was woken up by Eclipse’s wet nose on hr cheek. She batted playfully at her canine companion and eclipse looked around deciding that it was safe to give Jessica a slobbery doggy kiss. Giggling as her eye slowly fluttered open she sighed as she sat up and kissed Kevin on his forehead.

It was seven o’clock. Usually Jessica would be extremely tiered, but not today she was so relaxed from the ultimate bubble bath and the massage, which followed. “Come on up you go sleepy head.” Jessica gently shook Kevin’s muscular arms.

Smiling Kevin sat up and looked down at himself he realized that he had fallen asleep in his clothes from yesterday. Embarrassed he blushed and stood up. “I’m going to go get dressed, I will see you down stairs?” He asked as he quickly went to go get dressed.

Jessica lay back down on her bed and stretched every muscle in her body. “Do you think we are ready Eclipse?” Jessica asked as she rolled over to look at the deep brown eyes of the Doberman pincher.

“As long as you remember all of the training that Nova and myself have bestowed upon you girls you will do fine.” Eclipse paused. “Just don’t forget that you are a team.”

Jessica nodded as she lay back down, just starring up at the ceiling thinking about everything, what was to come what could and could not be expected. Then she remembered the last battle she had. One with her own aunt, Queen Hecate.

Shaking those thoughts away she walked over to her dresser to brush her long red hair. After she had made sure al of the knots were out she put it up in a ponytail. Walking down the stairs she could smell bacon cooking. Rushing into the kitchen she was happy to see Kevin cooking breakfast for the whole family.

“Boy you get up some easily!” Jessica pointed out, just five minutes ago you had major bed head, and not look you are all washed up and cooking everyone BLT’s!” Jessica said excited as she skipped over to her spot at the table.

Everyone showed up a little early to the quiet and calm creek behind Alissa’s house. Not many words were spoken, but all were thinking the same thing, what was going to happen. When it came to fighting evil they were all rookies. Not like Sailor Moon and the Sol senshi who were fighting the negative forces in Japan for four years now.

Nova finally broke the silence. “You should all transform, I hope you all heeded Eclipse and my own advice on resting.” Nova was pleased when she received positive nods from everyone.

“Princess Cassandra, Alissa, Jennifer, Brooke and Madison, along with Prince Sol Daystar I ask that you remember your training, we will come with you to the entrance.” Nova turned towards Eclipse then back to the loose semicircle of warriors. “But we will be staying on the outside this is a battle for the Stellar Senshi, if you need anything don’t be afraid to call us through your medallions.” Nova explained.

The group nodded again as they all stepped back and collected themselves into a tighter circle around the two guardian dogs. Jessica smiled and nodded before she lead off the transformations.

"SOLARIS STAR . . . . ."

"DAYSTAR COSMIC . . . . . "

"POLLUX STAR . . . . ."

"CAPELLA STAR . . . . ."

"SHAULA STAR . . . . ."

"SPICA STAR . . . . ."

Then all together they called out, "POWER!” 

Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles; this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body.

Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then revealed fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side.

The mist wrapped around counter clockwise around his body covering him from the eye. When the mist faded away Kevin was only a shadow. Then was an explosion above his head and small glittering yellow and maroon sparkles fell over his shoulders and his long cape appeared around his shoulders.

Then with a bright flash of golden light his armor appeared. Then he held his right arm to the sky and opened his eyes. Once his eyes were open a large powerful silver sword appeared in his hand, he then slid the saber into its proper spot on his belt.

Alissa shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation item above her head. Alissa then closed her eyes then her transformation wand disappeared.

Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong gust picked up and swirled around her. Then her silver tiara appeared with the white jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of gray light that surrounded Alissa giving her the feel of a warm spring breeze blowing through her hair and across her face.

Then the swirling air divided into rings and two rings went around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Gray rings of air went around her feet forming boots. Then more gray rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the gray air went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the wind picked up greatly, her hair was blowing wildly. From above a tornado came down and circled around Alissa blocking her from view. When the tornado died down and her hair slowly dropped back resting on her shoulders. Sailor Pollux was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with both of her hands on her cheeks, looking very innocent and harmless. Her head was tilted a little bit to the side. Her legs were apart, one was a little ahead then the other.

Jennifer shouted out these words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. She then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her back.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of green light that surrounded the girl giving her the feel of leaves brushing across her face and around her body.

Then from the ground vines formed at the bottom of her feet. The vines then slowly moved up her body. Her legs were then covered from view. The vines continued to move up her body, her waist was then hidden, the vines continued to move up and they covered her upper body then they moved down her arms.

Then there was a large burst of green light and the vines started to move away from her body slowly moving down. The vines revealed her gloves then her body suit was formed. Next came her skirt and the vines completely disappeared and her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled.

From the heart came more vines they formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared with the vines.

At that point more vines appeared and they grew upward. The vines keep growing up until they were above her head. They then began to wrap around her body causing a wall of vines around her. The vines tied into a point above Jennifer's head. When the vines died down and the girl's hair slowly drops back resting on her shoulders. And Sailor Capella was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with her right arm stretched out in front of her. Her left arm is resting on her hip. Her head was tilted slightly forward. Her legs were together.

Brooke shouted out the words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. Brooke then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Then her silver tiara appeared with the sea green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of sea green light that surrounded Brooke giving her the feel of her body being surround by the cool summer water.

Then from behind her a wave formed and crashed down on top of her, she didn't stir. Once the water resided, Brooke stood in it. A small bit of water at her feet moved up her knees forming boots, which were transparent. The water then slowly moved up her body. Her waist was then hidden beneath water, the form of her skirt could be seen the water continued to move up and it covered her upper body then it moved down her arms. Then rain began to fall from an unseen source, covering her body.

As the water touched her arms it reveled her gloves then her body suit. Next came her skirt and the rain slowly tapered off, but not before her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled. From the heart came more water it formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared in the same fashion.

And Sailor Shaula was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her kneeling down on one knee, her elbows rest on that knee, her head rested in her hands and she had a big smile which spread across her face.

Madison shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation medallion above her head. Madison then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong heat surrounded and circled around her.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the scarlet jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of lava colored light that surrounded Madison giving her the feel of sitting in front of a warm fire on a cold winter day.

Then from the ground lava erupted and shot up into the air high above her head. The lava then began to circle around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. The heart then formed and from the heart came lava that went out and formed into the shape of a bow.

Lava came up around her feet forming boots much like the bow that were black with orange and red cracks. They looked like drying lava. Then lava dropped from above and landed on her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward more lava appeared around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the lava flew up from the ground, causing lave to be thrown up into the air. The wall of lava from behind her collapses and when the lava then suddenly dies down, everything is quite and the lava that forms her uniform dries and shows it in the material form and the right colors. And Sailor Spica is reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with one leg in front of the other; her left hand on her hip. Her right hand is at the back of her neck. Her head is looking straight ahead and she has an angry look in her eyes as the flare like hot lava.

The six warriors continued to stand in the circle. She stood with her legs a bit more then shoulder width apart.  Her hands were on her chest covering the heart in the middle of her bow. She said the phrase in a whisper.

”SAILOR SUN BUBBLE..... TRANSPORT!”

The jewel in the centre of her tiara began to glow gold and red. From the tiara a small golden ball of energy began to appear. The ball floated out in front of her and began to get larger and larger until it was big enough to fit herself, the other Stellar Senshi and the two Guardian Dogs in. Once everyone was inside the bubble Sailor Sun continued to stand with her hands on her chest. With her mind she began to control the destination of the bubble telepathically.

Thinking hard she pictured the location she wanted to go in her mind and in an instant they were standing under a bridge on pavement. A river was alongside them running out of the city. Sailor Sun looked to a grate on the wall under the bridge. “Here this is where we are going.” She pointed.

The others nodded as they stepped forward. “Let me Sailor Spica suggested as she put out her palm to the steel grate. The steel began to glow red under her palm and slowly began to melt the others looked up with awe.

Once the metal was melted enough to allow the Senshi in they turned to Nova and Eclipse. “Don’t worry you will do fine, just believe in one another.” Eclipse suggested. Sailor Sun ran to his side and wrapped her hands around his neck.

“I love you.” She mumbled into his sleek black fur, Sailor Capella was doing the same thing with Nova. Once the two scouts had stepped away they turned to face the dark obsess within.

Sailor Sun followed closely by the Daystar Knight were the first ones to step in. Once they were in it took a moment for their eyes to adjust to the dim light. After walking down the dark passageway for a few minutes they stopped coming to a fork in the path.

Looking from one way to the next the Senshi decided to head right if they remembered correctly from the map. As the Senshi all turned to corner they were greeted with a dozen or more beady red eyes. Gasping as the looked out as more and more red eyes collected.
