Chapter # 29 – The Dreams Continue: A Pleasant Surprise –

Jessica sat on a small stone bench, a willow tree grew beside her, it's long branches reached down towards the purple water, which sat at Jessica's feet. The water was still; everything around her was still. In the breeze a small yellow flower drifted by in front of her face.

It was one of the star shaped flowers that the Daystar Knight would give her, they were called the Sunrose flower. Her head turned in the direction the flower continued to be blown. She arose from where she sat and followed the small flower.

It led her to a corridor; it reached down as far as the eye could see. The small flower blew down the corridor; almost disappearing into the shadows Jessica began to run towards it. She ran and she ran, until she was stopped by a voice. The voice called her name, but not her name in which her family knew her, but the name in which only the Sailor Scouts knew of. The voice called out again, "Princess Cassandra Solaris."

She looked around startled. "Who's there?" She asked as she looked around, she did not feel in danger, but was somewhat confused.

"Follow the flower." With those words the flower appeared in front of her, it started moving down the corridor at an incredible speed, it was hard for Jessica to keep up with it.

The corridor stopped suddenly, she was now in a garden. Before her stood a maze entrance. The female voice spoke again. "Make your way through the maze and all the questions which you want to know will be answered.

Jessica stepped forward into the entrance; the green walls towered over her.  She looked up, then to either side; there was a path to the left and a path to the right. Without any hesitation she took the path to the right.

After walking around for what seemed hours she came to a dead end, a breathy sigh escaped her lips as she leaned up against the wall, which would not allow her to go any further, she fell backwards.

The dead end was an illusion; she had made her way to the middle of the maze. She looked up to this large golden fountain. The water that poured from the top was purple, just like the lake. She slowly walked forward and looked into the purple water. Her image appeared in the water.

"You have passed the test." Jessica continued to look in the water, her clothes disappeared that she was wearing and formed into her princess gown, four female figures appeared around her. She quickly looked up startled, there was no one around her.

"Who, who are you?" Princess Cassandra asked, as she looked around frantically for the female figures she had just seen in the reflection of the water.

"That I can not tell you, but in time you will know who we are, for we are much like you, warriors, princesses, and now we have been awakened. So that is no longer your task, now you must not let the evil escape. So that is the task that we give you, for you are the only one that can help us." The voice faded off and around the fountain four figures slowly appeared, three of the four figure faces and bodies were covered in a shadow.

But there was one of the figures, which resembled Alissa. She wore a long turquoise gown. Princess Cassandra studied the gown with her eyes. "Yes I am Princess Alissa . . ."

Princess Cassandra turned and looked to the figure across from her, she resembled Jennifer, with the long wavy hair, the small almond eyes. "Can any of you help me?”

She continued to look at the woman, who wore a floor length gown, it started with a light green at the top, then it slowly got darker so it was a deep forest green. The straps were bronze, as were her earrings. She wore a bronze crown upon her head. "Again you are right I am Princess Jennifer of Princess Capella."

The next one in the circle was the past form of Brooke; her hair fell around her face nicely with a small shy smile on her face. She wore a beautiful gown that looked like water as she moved slightly. It was smooth look the gown, which was floor length. It was sea greens and beautiful ocean blues all molded in together almost like tie-die. “Yes as well you know whom I am, and the puzzle is almost complete.”

Finally Princess Cassandra’s eyes came to rest on the figure of Madison, she wore her hair in the usually fashion with the ponytail, then from that came the beautiful three long braids. Here dress looked like freshly drying lava from a volcano. With the beautiful colors of the shades of orange and reds, some very faint yellows. With the darker outlining in black to resemble the dried lava. “I was one of the last puzzle pieces, but not the last.”

"Can you tell me anything that can help me?" Princess Cassandra looked to each of the female figures, which stood around her in turn.

"No we can't, that is for you to find out, we have given you the task, now you must complete it." Princess Madison spoke to Princess Cassandra's near right spoke softly. The figures then began to disappear.

"No wait, you can't leave me wondering like this." Princess Cassandra looked up into the light purple sky above. Everything around her began to turn black; she could see the outlines of shadows, which surrounded her. An icy wind picked up moving Princess Cassandra's hair.

"You can't let this happen!" Princess Cassandra looked in the direction of the voice, she soon started to recognize some of her surroundings she was in the Tokyo Park.

She looked around, everything around her was dark, no lights from the near by building's shone, not even the pale silver light of the moon could be see. The princess looked around, towards the sun; there was no light there.

She then felt herself flying to the sun, passing by the planets, they too were dark, she landed on the sun, everything was dead. Nothing lived, death and a cold bleak area surrounded her.

"What happened?" She asked herself as she turned around in circles. Before her face the faces of Kasumi, Kurai-ki and a mysterious clocked face passed by. Her eyes grew wide as a face of a dog like creature passed by, then finally a female face.

"To awaken the five points of a star . . .. the sun shines it's brightest . . . . . a step forward . . . . . a step backward . . . . . day becomes night . . . . . a battle of the stars."

Princess Cassandra stared at the visions in her mind, everything began to fade she couldn't even see her hands before her face. The dream ended . . .

The words of the stranger repeated over and over in her head. "To awaken the five points of a star . . . . the sun shines it's brightest . . . . . a step forward . . . . . a step backward . . . . . day becomes night . . . . . a battle of the stars." 'What could it mean?' She paused and looked out her window into the night sky. She asked as she turned away from the star filled sky. 'I can't take much more of this!'

She turned and lay on her back, she glanced up at the ceiling. “I can’t take this anymore, none of it makes any sense! What does it mean that the sun will shine it’s brightest? That doesn’t mean anything at all, the sun always shines bright!” Jessica mumbled to herself as she pulled the blanket up under her chin.

“I had that dream again last night Eclipse, but this time everyone’s face was in it, nothing different other then that. What can it mean?” Jessica looked down at her guardian pet as the pair continued their way along the sidewalk to where they would soon meet with Alissa.

“I know what is going to happen next, but I just don’t know when and how to tell!” Jessica said frustrated as she looked up at the sun, there is no change in the sun!” The sun had no different look to it; it looked like the sun did any other fall day. “I am just getting sick and tired of this constant routine!”

Eclipse shook his head slowly. “I can fully understand that, but we have to wait, there is nothing else we can do right now but wait.” Eclipse said calmly. “Neither Nova or myself are sure what will happen, obviously Emperor Valico has a plan to break the seal that has held him for so long.” The dog paused and looked at the ground then up at Jessica. “I am not sure what to tell you.”

Jessica sighed. “I guess we wait!”

“Shi-ryuu do you know who you wish to attack today?” The beast asked as he sat properly at the mistress’s side with head held high. The large demon shrugged his shoulders. “Well you had better decided soon, the time of the end draws nearer as we speak.”

“Very well I will attack Jessica! Sailor Sun! I will attack the leader, they will not expect that! They will think that I will not attack her until the last well I will fool all of them and attack her right in the middle!”

“Good.” You are starting to think more! That is good, very good. Now try to do it more often!” The beast snarled, the comment made Shi-ryuu but by the warning finger of the mistress he kept his tongue.

“Fine then I will be off and discuss with Kurai-ki our new plan of attack. I am sure that he will be able to come up with something good enough for me to call as my own!” With those words the demon turned and disappeared down the dark passage.

“Come on we have a surprise!” Alissa said as he tied the material across Jessica’s blue eyes. “And you can not peak for that will ruin it all!” Alissa slowly walked Jessica to the waiting car where inside sat Jennifer, Brooke, Madison, Kevin, Nova and Eclipse all waiting for the red head.

“What is it? It isn’t my birthday! So what could the surprise be about?” She asked confused as she soon found herself sitting in the front seat of the car with her seat belt being strapped on.

Kevin waited until Alissa was inside the vehicle with everyone’s seat belts on and was off. Jessica was completely baffled at to what was going on. There was no reason for them to give her a surprise. She tried to figure out where she was going by the way the car turned but that too soon confused her and she gave up.

“Please give me a hint!” Jessica pleaded as she turned her head to where she thought Alissa was sitting. “Just a little hint, so I can try to understand what you seven are up to!” Jessica said as she heard snickering.

“Alright your hint is that you are going to be very surprised!” Madison said as she ruffled Jessica’s hair, the red head let out a sigh of anger and confusion as she sat back and decided to give up.

A few minutes later they pulled into the school parking lot. All piling out Jessica searched blindly for the door handle she found it and let herself out of the car. She soon felt Kevin’s strong arms on her shoulders.

He spun her a few times to make her even more confused and frustrated. “Alright not too much further to go now! We will be there so and you will be pleasantly surprised! I know you will!” Kevin said as he walked her carefully towards the front of the school.

“Come on where am I? And please tell me if I have to step up anytime soon.” As soon as Jessica stopped talking all together they called out “Step up!” Jessica ended stubbing her toe on the foot of the stair. She heard doors open and still had no clue.

Being walked down the school halls towards the auditorium Jessica tried to listen for any familiar sounds of smell anything, which might tell her or at least give her an idea to where she was.

Nothing, she got nothing it was silent around her she suddenly found herself standing still and the piece of material which served rather well for its purpose was un tied from her eyes.

Jessica was greeted to the biggest surprise she had had in a long time. There before her the stage, which was only in a big tangled mess a few days before, was all back to its proper look and shape just the way she had designed it.

Feeling tears well up in her eyes Jessica turned to see the grinning faces of her friends. “Told you that it was going to be a big surprise! I bet you never thought that we would do something big like this!” Brooked shyly said as she looked from Jessica to the others.

“I think we did really well! Now the concert can go on as planned, we told the principal that he can go on with the advertising for the concert that you worked so hard to put together. So you can have everything the way you wanted!” Kevin said happily as he went over and hugged Jessica.

Looking up at her boyfriend with wet eyes she smiled happily. “Thank-you!” Thank-you, for you are so nice! Too nice and the best friends that someone could ever have!” Jessica walked over and hugged each of her friends in turn even Eclipse and Nova got a hug from the overly happy Jessica.

“Now then lets get home, it is almost supper time!” Jennifer pointed out in a matter-of-fact way.

“Yes it is almost time and mom and dad might get a little angry with me if I am late again!” Brooke said as she began to walk towards the exit.

“And do not forget girls and guys, that there is a meeting about scout business at Alissa’s today! None of you should be late, we have to discuss a lot and see if we can get anywhere with all of our guesses. So I want to see each and every one of your Princesses and the respected Prince at Alissa’s in the barn for eight o’clock sharp!” Nova said softly as the came to the main doors.

"Yes I will be there!” Jessica said as she leaned her head onto Kevin’s shoulder.

“Me too!” Kevin said as he brushed Jessica’s bangs out of her face.

“You know I will be there or I will never hear the end of it!” Jennifer said as she hopped into the back seat of the car.

“I will as well, I would not want to be left not knowing what is going on.” Brooke said quietly.

“I’ll be there as well!” Madison said as she put her seat belt on and tied up her left roller blade’s lace. It was always seeming to come undone.

Jessica had a very happy supper and was sitting in her bedroom digging out her plans, which she had shoved under her bed in disgust. Kevin walked in and put his hands over her eyes.

“Kevin, please I have to find all of these so I know who is going on when and can make some pamphlets!” Jessica said kindly as she removed his hands from her eyes.

“You mean like these!?” Kevin asked as he handed the little pamphlets he had done up on the computer, they were exactly the way that Jessica had wanted them set up.

“Yes just like that!” She said as she threw her arms around his shoulders happily “Thank-you again, what another wonderful surprise! Thank-you Kevin!” Jessica gave him a quick but tender kiss on his cheek as she started to look at the pamphlets more carefully, her grin broadened.

Sitting in the hayloft waiting for Madison to show up the loud booming voice was heard all around them. “Surprise girls! How about another round of what’s your fear with your hosts Shi-ryuu and the assistant Kurai-ki?!” The large demons voice boomed.

Jessica rolled her eyes as she stood up. “Alright Shi-ryuu where do you want us to meet you?” The red head asked, being sick and tired of this constant performance from the two demons.

“Oh in a rush are we, well you will just have to hurry up and get your butts down to the river just out behind you little meeting place!” His voice tried off and his shrill laughter filled their ears.

Looking at each other they began to hold up their transformation medallions. “Wait!” Madison called as she ran in through the door; she held her medallion above her head. “Alright now!”

Jessica led them off like she usually did.

"SOLARIS STAR . . . . ."

"DAYSTAR COSMIC . . . . . "

"POLLUX STAR . . . . ."

"CAPELLA STAR . . . . ."

"SHAULA STAR . . . . ."

"SPICA STAR . . . . ."

Then all together they called out, "POWER!” Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles; this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body.

Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then revealed fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side.

The mist wrapped around counter clockwise around his body covering him from the eye. When the mist faded away Kevin was only a shadow. Then was an explosion above his head and small glittering yellow and maroon sparkles fell over his shoulders and his long cape appeared around his shoulders.

Then with a bright flash of golden light his armor appeared. Then he held his right arm to the sky and opened his eyes. Once his eyes were open a large powerful silver sword appeared in his hand, he then slid the saber into its proper spot on his belt.

Alissa shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation item above her head. Alissa then closed her eyes then her transformation wand disappeared.

Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong gust picked up and swirled around her. Then her silver tiara appeared with the white jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of gray light that surrounded Alissa giving her the feel of a warm spring breeze blowing through her hair and across her face.

Then the swirling air divided into rings and two rings went around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Gray rings of air went around her feet forming boots. Then more gray rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the gray air went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the wind picked up greatly, her hair was blowing wildly. From above a tornado came down and circled around Alissa blocking her from view. When the tornado died down and her hair slowly dropped back resting on her shoulders. Sailor Pollux was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with both of her hands on her cheeks, looking very innocent and harmless. Her head was tilted a little bit to the side. Her legs were apart, one was a little ahead then the other.

Jennifer shouted out these words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. She then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her back.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of green light that surrounded the girl giving her the feel of leaves brushing across her face and around her body.

Then from the ground vines formed at the bottom of her feet. The vines then slowly moved up her body. Her legs were then covered from view. The vines continued to move up her body, her waist was then hidden, the vines continued to move up and they covered her upper body then they moved down her arms.

Then there was a large burst of green light and the vines started to move away from her body slowly moving down. The vines revealed her gloves then her body suit was formed. Next came her skirt and the vines completely disappeared and her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled.

From the heart came more vines they formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared with the vines.

At that point more vines appeared and they grew upward. The vines keep growing up until they were above her head. They then began to wrap around her body causing a wall of vines around her. The vines tied into a point above Jennifer's head. When the vines died down and the girl's hair slowly drops back resting on her shoulders. And Sailor Capella was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with her right arm stretched out in front of her. Her left arm is resting on her hip. Her head was tilted slightly forward. Her legs were together.

Brooke shouted out the words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. Brooke then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Then her silver tiara appeared with the sea green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of sea green light that surrounded Brooke giving her the feel of her body being surround by the cool summer water.

Then from behind her a wave formed and crashed down on top of her, she didn't stir. Once the water resided, Brooke stood in it. A small bit of water at her feet moved up her knees forming boots, which were transparent. The water then slowly moved up her body. Her waist was then hidden beneath water, the form of her skirt could be seen the water continued to move up and it covered her upper body then it moved down her arms. Then rain began to fall from an unseen source, covering her body.

As the water touched her arms it reveled her gloves then her body suit. Next came her skirt and the rain slowly tapered off, but not before her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled. From the heart came more water it formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared in the same fashion.

And Sailor Shaula was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her kneeling down on one knee, her elbows rest on that knee, her head rested in her hands and she had a big smile which spread across her face.

Madison shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation medallion above her head. Madison then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong heat surrounded and circled around her.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the scarlet jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of lava colored light that surrounded Madison giving her the feel of sitting in front of a warm fire on a cold winter day.

Then from the ground lava erupted and shot up into the air high above her head. The lava then began to circle around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. The heart then formed and from the heart came lava that went out and formed into the shape of a bow.

Lava came up around her feet forming boots much like the bow that were black with orange and red cracks. They looked like drying lava. Then lava dropped from above and landed on her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward more lava appeared around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the lava flew up from the ground, causing lave to be thrown up into the air. The wall of lava from behind her collapses and when the lava then suddenly dies down, everything is quite and the lava that forms her uniform dries and shows it in the material form and the right colors. And Sailor Spica is reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with one leg in front of the other; her left hand on her hip. Her right hand is at the back of her neck. Her head is looking straight ahead and she has an angry look in her eyes as the flare like hot lava.

Shi-ryuu got right to the point as soon as the group of senshi were together he separated them to different corners of the forest, this time like he said he picked on Sailor Sun.

All around her were people, people who broke promises to her, the one that stuck out the most was the one that her mother had made back in the Golden Millennium. Promising that she would protect her no matter what happened. In the end it was the other way around.

Another promise was from her first crush he had promised to meet her by the monkey bars, and she waited and she waited. And she later found out that her crush had lied and was off to the movies with another girl.

Various promises that were made to her and broken, all so real all so painful.  All showing Jessica that people constantly break promises, important ones, and unimportant ones.

Then the faces of the people how were snobby and so heartless towards her throughout her life. Not caring what they said or did, just hurting her more and more every time they said something rude or broke yet another promise.

All of the life like memories filled into her head making it worse, the faces of her friends breaking promises that were so important to her, but obviously not to them.

She stopped crying as she heard the attack phrases being called out all around her.

"SPICA LAVA RIVER . . . CHAR!"

She jumped up into the air and did a flip, from the ground appeared a opening a few seconds a gush of lave came up, Sailor Spica stood on the lava that bobbed above the ground. The heat around her was emissive but didn’t seem to bother her. As she did a back flip back the lava plunged down onto the ground and roared towards Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki at a surprisingly fast speed. Seeming to leap up into the air the river of lava plunged down upon the un-expecting demons.

"CAPELLA EARTHQUAKE . . . RUMBLE!"

Sailor Capella stood on one leg, she did a full turn on her tiptoe. Her eyes were closed and her arms crossed over her chest. He head was stretched back as she looked up into the sky. She stopped sinning suddenly and turned to face Shi-ryuu. Her eyes snapped open, she slammed her foot down on the ground, she now stood with both feet spread apart, she smiled and giggled to herself then with her right hand she reached down and punched the ground. There was a pause of silence, and then from where her hand hit the ground a small rumbling could be felt. The rumbling began to get worse and worse, then the ground under Shi-ryuu's feet began to give away, then suddenly the earth around them began to rise and encased him in a rock shell.

"POLLUX STORM TORNADO . . . . . SPIN!"

Sailor Pollux stood with her legs apart. Her hands were clasped across her chest. Her head was bowed and her eyes were closed. Then her eyes snapped open as her neck straightened. She put her hands above her head and a strong wind picked up. Sailor Pollux's hair and uniform blew wildly in the wind. She turned her wrist and a gray tornado came down from above. It surrounded her then she put her hands directly in front of her chest and the tornado spun out towards Kurai-ki.

Sailor Sun stood up and looked into Daystar Knight’s concerned eyes. “I am okay! And I am about to kick some major demon butt!” Sailor Sun said as she turned around and faced the two demons who had smug looks on their faces.

“My turn!” Sailor Sun said, as she got ready for her attack.

“SUN SOLAR FLARES . . . . . BURN!”

Sailor Sun stood with her legs shoulder width apart. Her hands were at her sides to begin with. Her head was looking upward. Then she put her hands out in front of her chest, her hands then begun to glow with golden energy she then pushed her arms out as if she was pushing against something heavy. From each of her hands came two flames of fire. They spun around her body in a clockwise direction then went directly in front of her straight towards the two targets.

The two demons suddenly caught off guard disappeared after mumbling more threats.

“Yeah real brave of you attack the leader of the group and hope that the rest of us would fall! Well it won’t happen!” Sailor Pollux called after the dragon’s head made from fire.

All the girls then de-transformed along with Kevin. Trying their best to comfort Jessica, but she soon shrug it off tell herself that she can’t let something small like that disturb her.
