Chapter # 20 – A Trip To The Beach : Kurai-ki Helps The Scouts –

"Finally the weekend, and the weather is supposed to be good, is the beach still on?" Jessica asked turning towards Alissa, Brooke and Jennifer. They nodded their head in agreement. As the four girls walked down the road to their busses.

"I just hope that it isn't too cold, after all it is the middle of October." Brooke said a bit concerned.

"Yeah but the weather has been super nice for over the last week, the temperature has been up in the high twenties, I'm sure we will be fine!" Alissa stated as she resituated her book bag over her shoulders. "And besides, did you say that the water never really gets that cold until December and January hit?" Alissa asked turning to her sea green haired friend.

"Yeah, so I guess you are right, we won't have to worry about freezing our butts off! And not to mention over the sand bar there is a lake on the other side, isn't that the coolest thing?" Brooke asked as she moved towards her bus.

"Really? That is neat, salt water on one side and fresh water on the other, I bet the lake is nice and warm there." Jennifer said as she started to slowly part from the group, she was the only walker out of the group.

"Usually it is, I'll call you tonight Jessica!" Brooke said as she stepped onto her bus and walked towards the middle to an empty seat. Jennifer said her good-byes and went over and began her five minute walk home. Jessica and Alissa then made their way to their bus which was parked right besides Brooke's.

"Are we going to invite Lindsey and Brittany?" Alissa asked as she followed Jessica onto the bus then to a two person seat close to the back. Jessica shrugged her shoulders as she sat down in the hard seat.

"I would count on them coming, well definitely not Brittany, she still is really angry at Jennifer for getting the part as Juliet, and even more enraged that her one time boyfriend Ryan is Romeo. And since Brittany and Lindsey are so close Lindsey won't go because she is afraid to hurt Britt's feelings." Jessica said as she sat swung her shoulder bag over onto her lap.

"Yeah Brittany had kind of over reacted to the whole thing, and I really which she would get over it, didn't she get a really good part anyway? What was the character that she got to play?" The blonde asked as she turned towards Jessica.

The read head searched her head for the characters name, then she snapped her fingers. "Jennifer got to play Lady Capulet. One of the high ranking women in the play." Jessica stated her answer. She saw Alissa nod her head in agreement to the name.

"Yeah that is what it is. I don't think she will be totally happy though, I bet deep down inside she is praying that Jennifer will get deadly ill the night before curtain, because she has been stated to be Jennifer's replacement if anything happens to the lead lady."

"Really?! That must tick her off, to be ranked as only the replacement. But she can act like a big baby all she wants! Jennifer really deserved the part, and you should have saw how happy her mother was to hear that her daughter would be the lead in the schools play. It brought tears to her eyes!" Jessica said quietly.

"Really, well no wonder, Jennifer's mom hasn't had an easy life and neither has her daughters." Alissa spoke quietly and sadly. Jessica nodded in agreement, they were pretty quite the rest of the bus ride to their stop, then Jessica was overly happy to see Kevin leaning up against the lamp post with Eclipse at his side.

A big smile spread across Jessica's face as  he quickly made her way off the bus and towards Kevin, the blonde held out his muscular arms, and Jessica gladly jumped into them, after they had a hug and a quick kiss Jessica was the first to raise the question.

"How come you aren't in school?" Jessica asked as she smiled broadly as her boyfriend as her took her hand in his and they walked down the street side by side, Alissa walked to Jessica's left and Eclipse to Alissa's left. Kevin sighed and turned to smile at Jessica.

"Well it is very simple really, after there was the attack on the University a couple of days ago, we were lets with out one of our teachers, and that was my last class today so me and anyone else who had that class got a hour off early. So that is how I am here." Kevin explained as he put an arm around Jessica's shoulders and hugged her closer. "Surprise!"

Jessica just smiled again. "You are too sweet!" He said still grinning, Alissa couldn't help but smile at the couple. But deep down inside she held back a sigh. "Oh Kevy-poo," Jessica smiled at the look on Kevin's face to the little nickname. 'Are you going to be coming with Alissa, Jennifer, Brooke and myself to the beach tomorrow?" Jessica asked as she spun herself around in front of Kevin.

"Sure thing." Kevin said as he turned Jessica back in the direction that they were walking in towards Alissa's.

"What about me and Nova?" Eclipse spoke up, everyone turned to look at the Doberman pincher, then Jessica nodded.

"You can come along too, and so can your girl-friend." Jessica said with a teasing smile. The dogs eyes went wide and if god could blush his cheeks would have been fire engine red with embarrassment.

"Nova isn't my girl-friend, just an old friend that is all." He mumbled through a shaky voice, Jessica, Kevin and Alissa all laughed and the dogs attempt to cover up the feelings that he "didn't" have for Nova. "Really she isn't!" Eclipse protested as he glared at Jessica, the red head stopped her laughing and quickly turned to the sidewalk ahead of her.

"Well now Shi-ryuu, since you have come here, you have helped a great deal in getting the much needed Heart Stones, you should have them all soon enough to break the seal will you not?" Emperor Valico stood before Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki, the two lower ranking demons held their arms over their chest to show respect.

"Soon my Emperor, I will have collected enough of the Heart Stones to break the seal, but keep in mind we still have to get THE six Heart Stones from the Stellar Scouts, for they are the carries, then your seal will be completely broken, and you can walk the earth again, and get out into the galaxy and make it your own." Shi-ryuu spoke with much honor in his voice, he turned to look at Kurai-ki with angered eyes.

"What about you Kurai-ki, has you had any success in the missions you have been sent out upon with your brother?" The Emperor asked, amusement danced in his voice as he spoke the question, for he already knew the answer.

"I am afraid that I do not have the success that Shi-ryuu reports, I have kept the orb safe from the Stellar Scouts, and I have decided that we should attack female girls that are around the age of the Stellar Scouts, I am guessing that they are between the ages of fourteen to sixteen." Kurai-ki stated as he looked at his brother with a smug look upon his face.

"That sounds very reasonable Kurai-ki, I give you permission to carry on with this plan, attack the teenage girls and get their Heart Stones, you are bound to come across one of these Stellar Scouts sooner or later, for they are in this city." The Emperor said eagerness in his voice. Kurai-ki looked up at his older brother with an even smugger look upon his features.

"I should be off then Emperor, for I have to plan on the next attack." Kurai-ki said formal as he bowed and turned towards the exit disappearing into the shadows.

Shi-ryuu glared at Kurai-ki for making him look like a fool. "So," the Emperor spoke suddenly making Shi-ryuu to turn quickly, "Kurai-ki isn't as hopeless as I thought he was, not go and aid him with this plan, because the time draws near, and you need to do this soon, before it is too late, before the turn of this year is over." The Emperor spoke with hesitant words.

The large demon bowed before the Emperor. "Yes my Emperor, I will be sure to make this plan work, for I will not fail you." Shi-ryuu then turned and exited the room, from the shadows came the beast, it followed Shi-ryuu through the halls.

Quietly thinking to himself the beast smiled. 'Shi-ryuu has much hate in him, this hate can be used to the best of my plans, but the worst of Emperor Valico's.' The smirk widened. 'Shi-ryuu will make a very valid ally and the Lady will be very pleased.' The beast followed Shi-ryuu through the dark halls, a evil smirk played across his dog like face.

"I have my bathing suit and towel already to go!" Jessica said excitement bursting out of her voice as she ran down the stairs with a beach bag in her hand. She ran over to Kevin and handed him a large beach towel. "Here is yours Kevy-poo." She said happily, Kevin had gotten used to the new nickname Jessica had tagged him with.

"Thank-you." He said as he took the towel and folded it so it was small enough to fit into his beach bag. "We had better be off to pick up everyone else." Kevin said happily as he opened the front door and Jessica and Eclipse stepped out.

"See you later mom, dad, Jon and Hannah!" Jessica called as the door was shut, she heard her mother call and say something about wear lots of sun block. "Alright off to Alissa's first, then we go to Jennifer's then Brooke's." Jessica skipped over to the car that was parked in the driveway. Kevin smiled as he opened his door and piled into the car, Jessica sat in the front seat with Eclipse at her side.

"And we are off." Kevin said as he put on his seat belt and made sure that Jessica's and Eclipse's was on, he backed out of the driveway and made his way towards Alissa's house. Jessica rolled down the windows, for she wanted to enjoy as much of the almost summer weather as she could, for within the next couple of weeks the leaves should be starting to changing color and the weather will get cooler.

"Now Kurai-ki, we go and attack." Shi-ryuu stated very bluntly, it was mid after noon, but it wasn't like they would know it for they had no pure light enter their little "hideout". The smaller demon nodded, he didn't want to disagree for he already had his days worth of bruises and cuts from Shi-ryuu.

Jessica, Kevin, Alissa, Jennifer and Brooke were taking a break from a day of swimming, they were all sitting on their beach towels eating an ice cream. "Kevin can I have the car keys? I want to get my sweater out of the trunk." Brooke timidly asked as she looked at Kevin.

"Yeah sure, you remember where we parked?" Brooke nodded her head, and Kevin tossed over the car keys, Brooke mouthed a "thank-you" then go up off her beach towel that had orca's on it and made her way to the parking lot.

Suddenly from behind her she felt a large cold hand wrap around her neck, she tried to scream, but nothing came from her mouth except a gurgling sound. She turned to see a large demon looming over her he wore a smug look upon his face, as he showed his teeth.

People around her started to scream, and the next thing Brooke knew was that her chest got such a pain that she felt like closing her eyes and going to sleep, she looked down and saw that her chest had was beginning to glow.

"Oh please tell me not again!" Jessica said as she stood up from her beach towel, screams had filled the air and people were running this way and that. "I think we had better transform." She spoke as she turned from her friends to the area to scan for an area that they could transform.

"Over there, by those large rocks, no one is over on that side of the beach!" Alissa quickly pointed out, they all ran over behind the rocks and with Jessica's lead they held out their transformation items. Jessica was the first to call out her phrase.

"SOLARIS STAR . . . . ."

"DAYSTAR COSMIC . . . . ."

"POLLUX STAR . . . . ."

"CAPELLA STAR . . . . ."

Then all together they called out, "POWER!"

Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles; this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body.

Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then revealed fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side.

The mist wrapped around counter clockwise around his body covering him from the eye. When the mist faded away Kevin was only a shadow. Then was an explosion above his head and small glittering yellow and maroon sparkles fell over his shoulders and his long cape appeared around his shoulders.

Then with a bright flash of golden light his armor appeared. Then he held his right arm to the sky and opened his eyes. Once his eyes were open a large powerful silver sword appeared in his hand, he then slid the saber into it's proper spot on his belt.

Alissa shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation item above her head. Alissa then closed her eyes then her transformation wand disappeared.

Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong gust picked up and swirled around her. Then her silver tiara appeared with the white jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of gray light that surrounded Alissa giving her the feel of a warm spring breeze blowing through her hair and across her face.

Then the swirling air divided into rings and two rings went around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Gray rings of air went around her feet forming boots. Then more gray rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the gray air went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the wind picked up greatly, her hair was blowing wildly. From above a tornado came down and circled around Alissa blocking her from view. When the tornado died down and her hair slowly dropped back resting on her shoulders. Sailor Pollux was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with both of her hands on her cheeks, looking very innocent and harmless. Her head was tilted a little bit to the side. Her legs were apart, one was a little ahead then the other.

Jennifer shouted out these words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. She then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her back.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of green light that surrounded the girl giving her the feel of leaves brushing across her face and around her body.

Then from the ground vines formed at the bottom of her feet. The vines then slowly moved up her body. Her legs were then covered from view. The vines continued to move up her body, her waist was then hidden, the vines continued to move up and they covered her upper body then they moved down her arms.

Then there was a large burst of green light and the vines started to move away from her body slowly moving down. The vines revealed her gloves then her body suit was formed. Next came her skirt and the vines completely disappeared and her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled.
From the heart came more vines they formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared with the vines.

At that point more vines appeared and they grew upward. The vines keep growing up until they were above her head. They then began to wrap around her body causing a wall of vines around her. The vines tied into a point above Jennifer's head. When the vines died down and the girl's hair slowly drops back resting on her shoulders. And Sailor Capella was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with her right arm stretched out in front of her. Her left arm is resting on her hip. Her head was tilted slightly forward. Her legs were together.

Shi-ryuu stole the Heart Stone from Brooke's body, while Kurai-ki snatched the various teenage girls and stole their Heart Stones. Brooke was going to faint soon, she couldn't stand the pain throbbing in her chest. She moaned with pain, her eyes began to roll up in the back of her head.

Suddenly she heard a familiar voice call, she turned in the direction of the voice, there through blurred eyes she saw Jessica, but no it wasn't, it was Sailor Sun. Her eyes then closed. "You leave her alone!" Sailor Sun called as she stepped forward daring Shi-ryuu to a battle.

"Oh and what are you going to do? You can't shoot any attacks at me because I will just use this girl as a shield, so what are you going to do? What are you going to do?" Shi-ryuu asked in mocking tone.

Suddenly Brooke's baby gave off an immense heat, the aura that surrounded her burnt Shi-ryuu's hands, he quickly threw Brooke into the ocean. "NO!" Sailor Sun called after Brooke, as she splashed into the water. She began to run towards the water then the water began to glow.

Brooke's body rose up out of the water, her Heart Stone which was a sea green in color floated before her, her head rested on her chest and her arms hung loosely, suddenly her body glowed. Suddenly in the sky above her head flashed sea green light and a transformation medallion appeared. Skillfully Brooke lifted her hand and caught the medallion, it was on a platinium chain that she could wear around her neck. The medallion it's self had a platnium trim around the outside. Then the main background color was dark green. There was a light , medium and dark sea green star in the medallion. Then in very center of the medallion was a pale sea green oval shaped stone.

"SHAULA STAR . . . . . POWER!"

Brooke  shouted out the words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. Brooke then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Then her silver tiara appeared with the sea green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of sea green light that surrounded Brooke giving her the feel of her body being surround by the cool summer water.

Then from behind her a wave formed and crashed down on top of her, she didn't stir. Once the water resided, Brooke stood in it. A small bit of water at her feet moved up her knees forming boots which were transparent. The water then slowly moved up her body. Her waist was then hidden beneath water, the form of her skirt could be seen, the water continued to move up and it covered her upper body then it moved down her arms. Then rain began to fall from an unseen source, covering her body.

As the water touched her arms it reveled her gloves then her body suit. Next came her skirt and the rain slowly tapered off, but not before her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled. From the heart came more water it formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared in the same fashion.

And Sailor Shaula was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her kneeling down on one knee, her elbows rest on that knee, her head rested in her hands and she had a big smile which spread across her face.

The water around her disappeared and she was left kneeing on the sand, Sailor Sun, the Daystar Knight, Sailor Pollux, Sailor Capella and the two guardian dogs, along with Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki looked at the new Stellar Scout.

Starting at the top was a silver tiara like Sailor Sun's which lay on her head, the tiara was set with a sea green stone. Around her neck was a dark green choker in the center of the choker was a platinum star jewel it was generally round but had small points.

Sailor Shaula did have earrings they looked like a whirlpool of water. The shoulder flap was very different then the original scout's it was made up with two colors, platinum and soft sea green , it was set up with the platinum at the top and the soft sea green below it. It had one thin white stripe. She didn't have shoulder's on her uniform and was set up like Sailor Sun's it had transparent shoulder guards at each shoulder.

The bow on her chest is the same dark green as her choker. Again like Sailor Sun she had a heart in the center of her bow. The color of the heart was a deep green, even darker then the green of her bow. Then the body of her uniform was the same as the other scout's, white in color. The bow in the back of her uniform was the same color as the bow in front, and again it was longer then the original scout's  it went down to her knees.

Her gloves were white and went up to her elbow. The rings on the gloves were platinum. Her skirt was platinum and soft sea green like her collar. The green was at the top and the platinum was at the bottom. It kind of had a zig zag thing going on.

She wore dark green knee-length boots. The trim around the top of the boot was platinum. Then in the center on the trim there is the symbol of her star that was also platinum.

"Another Stellar Scout!" Nova said astonished as she looked at the new Sailor Scout who slowly stood to her feet.

"I am the sailor scout of the water star, Shaula. I can control the ocean tides, the rain clouds above and the cold ice, so watch out. You have found a way to disturb the balance of earth's water, and for that I will do away with the evil that you are!" Sailor Shaula introduced herself as she stood in the sand, the wall of water still behind her.

With a wave of her hand she made the wall of water behind her rise up to enormious hights and then it lept over top of her and landed on Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki, surrounding them in a pillair of water. Shi-ryuu surrounded himself in the fire and steam rose from the pillair, the water retreated back into the ocean, lapping over Sailor Shaula's boots.

Shi-ryuu glared at Kurai-ki. "Come we must go now and tell Emperor Valico that we awakened another." Shi-ryuu turned to the Stellar Scouts that now stood one stronger. "I will be back Sailor Sun, but I will have to play longer next time!" Shi-ryuu dissapeared in a large flame of fire that took on the apperance of a dragon's head.

Kurai-ki also disappeared in a swirl of leaves and small twigs. Sailor Sun turned to Sailor Shaula. "We have another to help aid us," then turning to Nova, "do you have any idea why they might have come here and tried to awaken another Stellar Scout?" Sailot Sun asked concerened. "They aren't trying to help us now are they?"

"That I do not know Princess Cassandra, only time will tell, perhaps they have their own purpose, because remember they are looking for THE six Heart Stones, for they need to breack the seal that holds Emperor Valico in his Enternal Prision, and they now that each of the Stellar Scouts are carriers of THE six Heart Stones." Nova explained in her calm voice.

Sailor Sun sighed and turned towards Sailor Shaula, that had a baffled look on her face. "We have a lot of explaning to do to you Sailor Shaula, I think we had all better de-transform and you can call your mom and ask if you can spend the night at my house." Sailor Shaula nodded her head slowly.
