Chapter # 19 – Alissa's Glory : A Problem At The Arena –

"Alright Glory, lets get you into the barn, you have a big day ahead of you tomorrow." Alissa patted the horses velvet nose and he bobbed his head. "I'd turn you out for the night but knowing you, within five minutes you will be out rolling around getting yourself covered in dirt."

Alissa lead the horses into the barn and was followed by Jessica, Kevin, Jennifer, Eclipse and Nova. "Is he really that bad?" Jessica asked as she looked at the beautiful dappled gray horse as Alissa walked him over to the cross ties and hooked them to the horses bridle. She started to take the tack off of the horse.

"You bet, after a day of cleaning, shoeing, grooming and clipping as soon as he was turned out I went in the barn to get a camera and when I came outside there he was rolling around in the dirt getting his mane and tail all ruffled and his coat covered in dirt."

"I guess it would be a good idea to have him kept in here then." Jennifer said as she patted the horses smooth fur. "You will be taking home all of the medals tomorrow!" Jennifer remarked as she walked up to the horses head and petted his forehead gently.

"I hope so, with all of the training that we both had to go through, but I think he is finally ready to do the course, I've taken him out on all of the trails, set up every type of jump which will be found at the competition tomorrow and he is only unsure over the water jumps." Alissa said as she carefully set the saddle down on the floor.

"But didn't you take him over a water one today down by the brook? He did fine then didn't he?" Kevin asked from where he stood back beside Jessica leaning up against Dawn's stall door.

"Yeah but I saw the way he was eyeing it, still being unsure, lets just hope that he doesn't decide to stop right in the middle of it tomorrow or we will both be going for a cool dip, won't we boy?" She removed the cross ties from the horses bridle and on did the bridle, and hung it on a nail beside his stall door. The horses just stood there patently waiting to be put into his stall.

Jessica opened the stall door and Alissa patted the horses on his rump and he knew where to go, he quietly walked into his stall and went over to the feed bucket, after a few mouthfuls of grain he went to his water bucket and began to play with the water tossing it with his teeth.

Everyone laughed at the horses display. He whiney loudly and the other horses followed, the bran was soon full of the horses calling back and forth to each other.

"Princess Alissa, I am sure that you will do fine tomorrow in your event, because you have come a long way, back in the Golden Millennium you had a great talent with horses, just as you do today." Nova spoke calmly to Alissa in a reassuring tone.

"Really?!" Alissa asked excited, "Did I have my own horses?" She asked as she slid off her riding boots and stepped into her sneakers.

"You had many, and you went into many competitions and your skill grew and grew." Nova went on.

"Cool!" Alissa said as she walked over to Glory. Headlights flashed up against the wall, they all looked towards the driveway to see Jessica' parents pulling up the long driveway. The lights went off and the cars engine settled.

"Well that is our drive." Jessica said as she looked towards Eclipse and Kevin. "I'll see you two tomorrow at the show jumping competition." Jessica waved as she began to leave.

Eclipse looked up at Jessica. "Did you forget? You have the finals of your fencing tournament tomorrow?" The dog questions. Jessica hit her forehead with the palm of her hand.

"Alissa, I might be a bit late tomorrow for the jumping competition, I kind of have my fencing tournament tomorrow, but I will be there as so as it is done!" Jessica said in a sadder tone.

"Oh that is okay, just make it when you can." Alissa said as she tried to sound un-disappointed. But her face showed that she was sad that her friend might not be able to make it to the competition tomorrow.

Everyone said their good-byes and Jessica, Kevin and Eclipse all piled into the car. As the car backed down the driveway Alissa and Jennifer waved. Shortly after Jessica, Kevin and Eclipse left Jennifer's mother pulled up in her broken down car.

"See-ya." Jennifer said as Nova and herself pilled into the backseat.

"Kurai-ki!" The green demon was thrown across the room, he didn't even bother to move his already bruised and battered body from the pile in which he lay on the cold hard floor. "You are weak, I can't believe that I had gotten stuck with such a weak brother!" Shi-ryuu's voice echoed in the almost empty room, we stormed across the room to where his younger brother lay.

Kurai-ki did not even bother to speak, he was too badly wounded, blood poured out onto the floor from his open wounds. "You had better prove yourself useful or I will simply dispose of you and the Emperor never has to know that I did it!" He kicked the smaller green demons already broken ribs.

Two eyes watched from the darkest shadows, the blood red eyes were narrowed. "Perfect, he already is showing signs of deceit, my mistress will be happy to hear this." The creature disappeared in the shadows that surrounded him.

Shi-ryuu picked Kurai-ki up. "I'm surprise that you are not fighting! Are you too weak to do so?" Another swift quick met with Kurai-ki's back, slamming him harder into the floor, the ground cracked around him from the pressure and strength of the kick.

"I will not fight with you." Kurai-ki thought quietly to himself, 'I can give him what he wants, the pure satisfaction of feeling superiority.' He turned to face his much larger brother and rose slowly to his feet. "I will not fight someone that I look up too, someone whom I hope to be like someday."

Shi-ryuu looked down at Kurai-ki with questioning eyes. "Really?" He asked, there was a pause of silence. "Well Isn't that sweet?" He questioned and did not even wait for a reaction from Kurai-ki, he punched the younger demon in the stomach making him curl forward in pain. Then with his elbow he slammed it into his younger brother back, making him to fall back onto the floor.

Shi-ryuu walked away with a smug look on his face. Kurai-ki wiped blood from his lip and slowly made his way to his feet, he called forth the small flashing orb with the clapping of his hand. "Heal me!" He commanded, he was instantly healed by the evil energy, still have some bruises and scars which he would always carry he exited the room.

Alissa carefully walked the beautiful horse into the trailer, she would be leaving soon to go to the Show which was starting in two hours, she sighed deeply as she walked up beside the horses hand made sure that the harness had been attached properly.

'I just hope that Jessica will be able to make, she has helped me the whole way through training for this day and she might not be able to see how all of our hard work has paid off.' She sighed again. turning towards the stallion beside her.

"You will do great today boy, and don't worry the ride won't be long, I promise!" Alissa patted the horses soft nose, he bobbed his head in approval and let out a soft whiney.

Alissa exited the trailer, shut the gate securely behind her and walked up beside the right side of the big blue truck, Mr. Walker had offered to drive Alissa there, since Mr. and Mrs. Edwards wouldn't be of much help for they still lay up in their beds, and they haven't moved much except the heaving of their chests as they breathed in the air they need to survive.

Mr. Walker's voice snapped Alissa out of the daze she was in, she turned to look and the worried faces of Jeffery and Jennifer. "What?" Alissa asked.

"I asked are you ready to go?" Mr. Walker asked again.

Alissa nodded her head slowly, Mr. Walker started the engine. "Alright here we go!" The truck was carefully backed down the driveway then he turned out onto the road, and they were off.

Jessica slipped on her fencing uniform. She walked out of the small changing room and was greeted by Lou's and Jason's smiling faces. "Alright Jessica, time for you to win first place!" Lou said his voice full of confidence, Jessica found her cheeks begin to flush at the comment.

She forced a smile onto her lips, she was very nervous and she was thinking to the jumping competition that Alissa would be jumping in anytime now. "Alright I'm ready." Jessica said in a shaky tone, she inhaled deeply then exhaled.

Alissa sat on her horse, it would be time for her to do her round in about ten minutes, give or take, there were four riders ahead of her waiting patently. The blonde held her riding helmet in her arm and with the other did the last minute checks to see if the horses saddle and bridle were safely fastened.

"Jessica! I am very proud of you, but you almost lost because you were in such a hurry! If the timer didn't go off she would have won you on the final swing, I have told you time and time again, to be patient." Jessica sat down beside her angered instructor and looked down at the gold medal that hung from her neck.

"Well she won didn't she?" Jason asked, feeling a bit sorry for Jessica because of Lou's uncalled for behavior. After all she did come out on the match the winner by far, but Lou was right if Jessica had of not been in such a rush to win then she would have been able to get a much better score.

"I have to go." Jessica said as she quickly stood up and turned to face the crowd of people sitting in the stands, she spotted Kevin and indicated for him to meet her out front. "Sorry I have to go meet with a friend."

Before Lou could express the anger he was feeling Jessica had already made her way down the hall, he mumbled some comments under his breath then turned to look at Jason. "Well you both got gold's very good for you!" He said angrily and walked off.

Jessica ran out of the large building, she scanned the area for Kevin and Eclipse they came running up from the right. "Alright we had better boot it if we want to get to see Alissa in time!" Jessica said as she ran down the stairs three at a time, she had wondered why she didn't break her neck.

Jessica, Kevin and Eclipse all ran down the street breathing heavily, Jessica ignored the crap which had started to develop in her right side, she continued on, Eclipse's tongue was hanging out of his mouth as he was getting extremely hot and out of breath.

"And up next is the young Scottish rider Alissa John, on her beautiful dappled gray Glory!" Cheers went up from the crowd as Alissa and Glory walked out of the entrance gate and was standing in the ring, she berthed in deeply and bent down to Glory's neck.

She looked up into the stands, she found Jennifer's, and Nova's face, but no Jessica, Kevin or Eclipse. She sighed in disappointment. 'Oh well I guess I will have to do this with out them to support me!' She thought as she turned her attention back to the task at hand.

"We can do this boy!" She said confidently as she gave a kind pat to her horses neck. The horses tossed his head. Alissa gave a wave to the timers signaling that she was ready to start. She gave a light kick in Glory's side and they were off, as soon as they past the markers the timer began, she turned Glory towards the first jump, the horses went over the panel jump with out difficulty.

She took a left turn and went up to the oxer, over that fine, no poles were knocked down, the next jump was right in front of them, they went over the double jumps one after another Glory just soared over them. 'The water one is coming up in a few more Alissa thought to herself as they flew over a yellow and white panel jump.

The announcers voice proudly called out Alissa's and Glory's progress as they flew around the course. Over another they went, so far the round had been clear, but she only done half of the course and the water was neck, Alissa leaned forward as the horses cantered towards the neck jump. "You can do it!" She encouraged the horses. She lifted herself up off the horses back as the strides of the horses neared the jump.

Up the horse lifted his front legs while he gave a nervous look at the water, time almost appeared to stop as from the water a flame which resembled a dragon appeared. Glory's and Alissa's eyes, the dappled horses did everything that he could do to get out of the way of the fire, but they ended going straight through it, but without harm. The horses stopped and reared up once he was on the other side of the jump, Alissa clung on tightly.

She turned back to the flame. "Shi-ryuu!" She thought angrily as the figure of the demon began to form out of the fire, all of the spectators gave worried looks at the demon which suddenly flew up into the air.

Screams were heard and off in the distance. Jessica stopped suddenly as did Kevin and Eclipse. She looked at her boy-friend with worried eyes. "I think we had better transform Jessica." The red head nodded at his suggestion, they looked around and it was safe, they both heard their transformation items above their heads and called out their transformation phrases.

"SOLARIS STAR . . . . ."

"DAYSTAR COSMIC . . . . ."

Then together they called out, "POWER!"

Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles; this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body.

Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then revealed fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side.

The mist wrapped around counter clockwise around his body covering him from the eye. When the mist faded away Kevin was only a shadow. Then was an explosion above his head and small glittering yellow and maroon sparkles fell over his shoulders and his long cape appeared around his shoulders.

Then with a bright flash of golden light his armor appeared. Then he held his right arm to the sky and opened his eyes. Once his eyes were open a large powerful silver sword appeared in his hand, he then slid the saber into it's proper spot on his belt.

Alissa quickly moved her horses away and got him to jump the far fence where there were bushes in which she could hide in. She tied the horses reins to a branch of a tree and reached into her pocket to get out her transformation medallion.

"POLLUX STAR . . . . . POWER!"

Alissa shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation item above her head. Alissa then closed her eyes then her transformation wand disappeared.

Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong gust picked up and swirled around her. Then her silver tiara appeared with the white jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of gray light that surrounded Alissa giving her the feel of a warm spring breeze blowing through her hair and across her face.

Then the swirling air divided into rings and two rings went around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Gray rings of air went around her feet forming boots. Then more gray rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the gray air went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the wind picked up greatly, her hair was blowing wildly. From above a tornado came down and circled around Alissa blocking her from view. When the tornado died down and her hair slowly dropped back resting on her shoulders. Sailor Pollux was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with both of her hands on her cheeks, looking very innocent and harmless. Her head was tilted a little bit to the side. Her legs were apart, one was a little ahead then the other.

Jennifer had the same idea she quickly left the stands and hid   off under the bleachers, she held up her transformation medallion and shouted out the phrase.

"CAPELLA STAR . . . . . POWER!"

Jennifer shouted out these words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. She then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her back.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of green light that surrounded the girl giving her the feel of leaves brushing across her face and around her body.

Then from the ground vines formed at the bottom of her feet. The vines then slowly moved up her body. Her legs were then covered from view. The vines continued to move up her body, her waist was then hidden, the vines continued to move up and they covered her upper body then they moved down her arms.

Then there was a large burst of green light and the vines started to move away from her body slowly moving down. The vines revealed her gloves then her body suit was formed. Next came her skirt and the vines completely disappeared and her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled.
From the heart came more vines they formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared with the vines.

At that point more vines appeared and they grew upward. The vines keep growing up until they were above her head. They then began to wrap around her body causing a wall of vines around her. The vines tied into a point above Jennifer's head. When the vines died down and the girl's hair slowly drops back resting on her shoulders. And Sailor Capella was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with her right arm stretched out in front of her. Her left arm is resting on her hip. Her head was tilted slightly forward. Her legs were together.

Suddenly the three Stellar Scouts and the Daystar Knight all came into the jumping arena from different directions all ready to battle. Shi-ryuu looked around with an amused look on his face. "Do you four still think you can win against me?" He asked in a mocking tone as he looked at each of them in turn.

Neither one of them said anything, they just continued to come closer and closer to Shi-ryuu. Sailor Sun had a smug smile on her face.

"SUN FIRE BEAM . . . . . BURN!"

Sailor Sun stood with her legs together, then she put her hands together as if she were going to pray. She closed her eyes and slowly lifted her hands towards the sky. During the whole time Sailor Sun's hair was blowing fiercely around her.  There was a bright flash of golden and orange light which caused her body to shimmer, then a large golden fireball spin around Sailor Sun then turned and headed towards Shi-ryuu. When it reached him the fire ball began to spin around him but with a swift movement Shi-ryuu moved quickly out of the dangerous flames and flew up into the stands.

He snatched one of the helpless humans who had stayed to watch the battle with the Stellar Scouts which he entire city was beginning to love. Shi-ryuu threw the body down and turned out to face the Stellar Scouts, he snapped his fingers and Kurai-ki appeared with the orb following him.

Shi-ryuu held out the Heart Stone and it floated into the orb which flashed quickly for a few moments then went back to it's normal throbbing pattern. "Now," Shi-ryuu turned towards his younger brother. "Don't just stand there! We have to collect Heart Stones." He punched Kurai-ki hard in his head, the smaller demon looked up, he held his bleeding nose.

Shi-ryuu smiled, he was very proud of the control he had over Kurai-ki. Turned back to the Stellar Scouts he shout out waves after waves of fire, it soon the whole ring was covered with fire surrounding all of the jumps, the heat was almost unbearable.

"What are we going to do?" Sailor Sun asked herself out loud. "If only Sailor Mercury were here!" She said, the two new Scouts turned to their leader with questioning eyes then shrugged their shoulders, turning back to Shi-ryuu.

"Well I'm not going to sit around and let him destroy everything!" Sailor Pollux said determined as she stepped forth.

"POLLUX STORM TORNADO . . . . . SPIN!"

Sailor Pollux stood with her legs apart. Her hands were clasped across her chest. Her head was bowed and her eyes were closed. Then her eyes snapped open as her neck straightened. She put her hands above her head and a strong wind picked up. Sailor Pollux's hair and uniform blew wildly in the wind. She turned her wrist and a gray tornado came down from above. It surrounded her then she put her hands directly in front of her chest and the tornado spun out not towards Shi-ryuu or Kurai-ki.

Everyone looked at her with questioning eyes then they realized that she was using the swift wind to put out the flames, the large fire in the ring had stopped and the four warriors could breathe much easier, they all let out a sigh of relief.

Shi-ryuu screamed angrily. "Damn you Stellar Scouts!" He shot out small daggers of fire at each of the warriors, finding nothing to find behind they found it hard to keep safe, they ended up getting various cuts on them once the bombardment stopped.

Sailor Capella stood up slowly, she had a large pain in her left side, she moved her gloved arm down and set her hand over where the pain was coming from, as she lifted her glove to look at it, the white glove was stained with the red of her blood.

Barely able to stand she turned to Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki whom had managed to steal every last Heart Stone from the people who were foolish enough to stay. She opened her mouth about to say the attack phrase when Shi-ryuu quickly flew up towards her and put a finger over her lips, she backed away discussed.

"CAPELLA EARTHQUAKE . . . RUMBLE!"

Sailor Capella stood on one leg, she did a full turn on her tiptoe. Her eyes were closed and her arms crossed over her chest. He head was stretched back as she looked up into the sky. She stopped sinning suddenly and turned to face Shi-ryuu. Her eyes snapped open, she slammed her foot down on the ground, she now stood with both feet spread apart, she smiled and giggled to herself then with her right hand she reached down and punched the ground. There was a pause of silence, then from where her hand hit the ground a small rumbling could be felt, the rumbling began to get worse and worse, then the ground under Shi-ryuu's feet began to give away, then suddenly the earth around them began to rise and encased him in a rock shell.

A deep laughing could be heard within the rock encasement. A loud pounding could be heard then a crack went up in the rock. It crumbled around Shi-ryuu not leaving any scratches. "Do you really think that an attack as weak as that will hurt me?" He asked feeling rather amused.

"Laugh all you want Shi-ryuu, but you haven't felt any of our true strengths, we still have a lot to show you." The Daystar Knight walked up having an even more smug look on his face then Shi-ryuu, the large demon glared down at the night and shrugged his shoulders.

Kurai-ki's was then heard calling up from the stands. Shi-ryuu turned to face his younger brother. "Come on Shi-ryuu we have to go!" The small green demon called. Shi-ryuu got a flame in his eyes and he blasted a shot at the stands where Kurai-ki stood, luckily for the demon he was able to soar into the air before the stands ignited.

Sailor Sun's went wide with fear, there were still people on those stands. Shi-ryuu turned and faced the four warriors. "Lets see if you can save them this time since you failed in stopping me from getting their Heart Stones!" He spoke with a voice of utter happiness.

Shi-ryuu disappeared in a flaming face of a dragon and Kurai-ki in a swirl of leaves and small twigs. The four warriors ran up to the bleachers and quickly began to take the bodies of the few people out without too much damage.

Once everyone was out the four helped the ambulances get people in. The three girls uniform was singed and they had black marks all over their once with uniforms. Sailor Pollux's eyes suddenly went wide with terror. "GLORY!" She yelled as she jumped over the have burnt fence and ran towards the far side where she had tied the horse up.

Sailor Pollux was relived to see that the horses was okay, a bit startled but okay. "She patted the horses lightly on his nose, the horse instantly knew that the Stellar Scout before him was indeed his trusted owner Alissa. The horse whinnied with pleasure.

The fighting group of four de-transformed and took the still a bit worked up horse to the trailer where Mr. Walker was waiting, Jessica breathed a deep sigh of relief as she saw that her father hadn't had his Heart Stone stolen.

The next day the Jumping Competition was held in the Metro Center. It took a lot of dirt to get the ground right for the horses, but the show went on, and despite Glory's fear of the water jump Alissa and another girl by the name of Melanie tied for the first place mark, even when they held the tie breaker over the three high plank jumps the girls tied yet again, so they decided to give both girls the gold medal.
