Chapter # 18 – Shi-ryuu A Powerful Foe : A Desperate Kurai-ki –

Note: Here is chapter 18, I hope you think that Shi-ryuu is big and bad enough, but if you have any suggestions they are welcome! You are probably wondering how much longer this is going to be until it is over, well right now it is almost halfway!! Yeah so it is going to be a long one alright! There is much to fit in yet and a lot more surprises!

Kurai-ki walked into the large chambers of Emperor Valico, all eyes turned towards him, conversations quietly broke out. The green demon glanced around nervously and spotted the Emperor with the beast it his side as usually. One of the smaller demons handed a glass up to the Emperor. He snatched the glass and kicked the little demon out of the way.

Once the Emperor spotted the green demon standing in front of the doorway he signaled for him to come over, Kurai-ki walked over nervously. "So glad that you decided to show up Kurai-ki, I thought that you would have tried to weasel your way out of this one way or another." The Emperor looked down at the slightly smaller demon.

Kurai-ki did not speak. The beast stepped forth. "He knew that if he didn't show up for the arrival of Shi-ryuu," A shiver went through the crowd of demons as the name of the feared demon was spoke. "That he would be in much trouble with him and you Emperor." The beast spoke calmly.

"Well now that you are  here Kurai-ki I can open the portal." With those words he threw his glass down onto the floor, it shattered into many little pieces. He put his hands together, then slowly moved them apart, between them a gold and black substance appeared. It grew in size, it was soon much larger then the Emperor, the clocked demon backed away from the portal along with all of the other demons.

A shrill laughter was heard from the other end of the portal, or the tear in space. Out stepped a figure, much taller then Kurai-ki, well built also. The figure stepped closer, once he came into the light of the room he blinked once and turned to Kurai-ki.

Shi-ryuu spoke towards Kurai-ki and he said only one word, "Brother . . ."

"Don' we know anything else about Shi-ryuu?" Jennifer asked the two dogs that sat before her and the others on the roof just outside Jennifer's window. Eclipse and Nova both shook their heads 'no'. "Well that sucks!" She pointed out.

"Well there is nothing that we can do right now Princess Capella." Nova said as she looked towards the wavy haired girl that leaned up against the wall of her house. Nova looked to Eclipse. "Do you have any suggestions Eclipse?" The female Doberman pincher kindly asked.

Eclipse sat there thinking for a few moments. "I really don't know what to do or say. We do know the reason that the Emperor is getting the lower demons to collect the Heart Stones for him, but how will he harness their true power, no one knows how to use the six Heart Stones to their maximum power, unless he has devised away, he has had a lot of time to think about it, after all being trapped in his prison for over two era's."

"But why is Shi-ryuu coming now? Kurai-ki is still alive, so why bother calling forth another demon to do his dirty work?" Alissa questioned.

"That is what confuses me, maybe Shi-ryuu knows or is the key which the Emperor needs to get our of his prison." Eclipse replied.

"Or just maybe he is thinking strength in numbers, there are four of us now, and they know that there is more. So maybe Shi-ryuu is being put into the picture to somewhat even the odds." Jessica suggested, everyone turned to the red head who swung her feet over the roofs edge.

"I think you might be right there Princess Cassandra." Nova agreed in her formal manner. "The Emperor has obviously began to think that he might lose and be locked in his prison in the neatherealm, the seal must be slowly weakening, since he is here on earth now and no longer in the neatherealm." Nova added.

"Well at least we think we know what is going on now!" Alissa said excitement in her voice.

"But we still aren't a hundred percent sure yet Alissa." Jennifer stated.

Alissa nodded then turned to Jessica. "Hey Jess, you have been a bit quite this entire scout meeting, is there something bothering you?"

"I know what it is!" Jennifer burst out. "She misses Kevin! He has been gone lately at collage, and she is upset that she doesn't get to see her Kevy-poo as often!" Jennifer teased her friend.

"Well in that case why don't we go and meet him at this new collage of his!" Alissa suggested trying to get her friend to cheer up. Jessica quickly turned around with a big smile on her face. "I knew I could get you to smile at the mention of going to see him!" Alissa cheered.

The three girls looked around then jumped off of the roof down to the ground below, the two guardian dogs followed.

Kurai-ki cringed at that relation being mentioned between Shi-ryuu and himself. They both stood there staring at each other with an unspeakable grudge. The room was silent, they were all thinking the same thing, no one had known that Kurai-ki and Shi-ryuu were brothers. Shi-ryuu was the first to break the silence with his deep voice which seemed to echo, and he wasn't even yelling.

The bigger demon stepped up into the light, he was much bigger then Kurai-ki and even Emperor Valico. His chest and arms were very muscular. His skin was a deep grayish purple color. His hair was much longer then Kurai-ki's but it was also black in color. He had reptile eyes, and his wings were massive, he had a long tail and along it there were little spikes. He had a beautiful face, but it was unseen for the scowl that he always wore upon it. When he talked his white teeth shone in the dim light.

"So how is the girl friend?" He rudely asked as he walked over to his younger brother. "Oh right I forgot she was killed by those what did you call them Valico?" Before the Emperor could answer Shi-ryuu spoke up again. "Senshi, Sailor Senshi. That's the name." He spoke so rudely and coldly, without any emotion.

Kurai-ki bit his tongue to keep him from saying anything that would get him in trouble. He clenched his fists at his side. "Yes, she was killed." The younger demon spoke through clenched teeth.

"Ah well, isn't that too bad?" He replied smugly. "Oh well all is fair in love and war." Shi-ryuu continued to speak with no emotion in his voice.

Kurai-ki just stood there glaring at Shi-ryuu. The Emperor took the silence as an opportunity to speak. "Shi-ryuu, I am honored to have you in my presence, you shall be better able to help me in the task in hand. The Stellar Scouts or Senshi must be destroyed. They are getting in the way, and also the other scouts which have not yet been awoke must be found before the other's can get to them." Shi-ryuu turned away from his brother to the Emperor and tapped his foot on the floor impatiently.

"Get to the point you old fool!" Shi-ryuu spoke as he rolled his eyes.

The Emperor a bit shocked at the sudden rudeness from Shi-ryuu, glared at him then quickly went on, because even though he was the head of the whole operation Shi-ryuu seemed to be much more powerful. "The six Heart Stones lie within each of the Senshi of the Stars, so we must take their Heart Stone's away and place them on the Star Pendulum."

"Alright so kill the scouts and get their Heart Stones, got it." Shi-ryuu turned away, not even a bow to show respect was given to the Emperor. "Come on Kurai-ki let's go get caught up on everything, maybe you can tell me more about this time and place." He spoke rudely as he grabbed Kurai-ki by the shoulders roughly and pulled him out of the room.

Once the two brothers left the room broke out in conversation, the Emperor stood there feeling a bit stunned still. The beast wore a wide smirk across his face. "He will do fine." He said quietly to himself as he walked off and disappeared from the room in the murky water of the fountain.

"So Jessica do you have any idea which class Kevin is in?" Jennifer asked as she trotted up to her friends side. Jessica looked around the large schools grounds, she quietly shook her head no in disappointment.

"Come on don't worry we can find him, we just have to look really hard." Alissa said in a positive tone. Jennifer looked at her with worried eyes, Alissa shrugged her shoulders and the three girls and the two dogs walked towards one of the buildings.

"I'm going to have fun on the surface." Shi-ryuu stated as he walked towards the door of Kurai-ki's chambers.

Kurai-ki ran up to his brother. "But you have not asked the Emperor and you know very well that you cannot stay on the surface for very long, you are in the same boat as the Emperor." Kurai-ki reminded his older brother as he grabbed onto his arm.

Shi-ryuu turned around in a fit of fury, he looked down to his arm which Kurai-ki still grasped. "DON'T TOUCH ME!" He screamed as he quickly took his arm away from Kurai-ki's small hands. "And I don't care if the Emperor has to be told of my every move!" Shi-ryuu picked up Kurai-ki by the neck and held tightly, slowly the oxygen to Kurai-ki's lungs was being cut off, he tried to spit, but had no freedom to do so.

Once Shi-ryuu had had his fun with almost suffocating the poor Kurai-ki he threw the smaller demon to the wall. Kurai-ki gasped as the oxygen returned to his lungs, he took in a couple of deep breath's. "And you are coming with me!" Shi-ryuu stated.

Kurai-ki knew that there was no point in trying to fight with his older brother so he slowly rose to his feet rubbing his neck which was still throbbing with pain. His brother was engulfed in fire as it formed around him the face of a dragon appeared then he was gone, Kurai-ki stepped forth and disappeared in a swirl of leaves and small branches.

Kevin sat in the room with abut fifty other students or more. He sat up towards the back, the professor went on with his lecture, but it was soon cut short as the left wall where the windows just were was blasted open, in stepped Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki.

Screams filled the air, Kevin quickly got up with some other students and he was the first one out of the class. Only a few more came out after him, then the door was some how sealed. 'You must be Shi-ryuu.' Kevin thought to himself as he pulled out his transformation wand.

Jessica, Alissa, Jennifer, Eclipse and Nova all turned their heads towards the screams that rang out. The three girls looked at one another and nodded as they pulled their transformation medallions out.

"DAYSTAR COSMIC . . . . . POWER!"

The mist wrapped around counter clockwise around his body covering him from the eye. When the mist faded away Kevin was only a shadow. Then was an explosion above his head and small glittering yellow and maroon sparkles fell over his shoulders and his long cape appeared around his shoulders.

Then with a bright flash of golden light his armor appeared. Then he held his right arm to the sky and opened his eyes. Once his eyes were open a large powerful silver sword appeared in his hand, he then slid the saber into it's proper spot on his belt.

"SOLARIS STAR . . . . ."

"POLLUX STAR . . . . ."

"CAPELLA STAR . . . . ."

Then all together they called out, "POWER!"

Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles; this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body.

Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then revealed fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side.

Alissa shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation item above her head. Alissa then closed her eyes then her transformation wand disappeared.

Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong gust picked up and swirled around her. Then her silver tiara appeared with the white jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of gray light that surrounded Alissa giving her the feel of a warm spring breeze blowing through her hair and across her face.

Then the swirling air divided into rings and two rings went around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Gray rings of air went around her feet forming boots. Then more gray rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the gray air went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the wind picked up greatly, her hair was blowing wildly. From above a tornado came down and circled around Alissa blocking her from view. When the tornado died down and her hair slowly dropped back resting on her shoulders. Sailor Pollux was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with both of her hands on her cheeks, looking very innocent and harmless. Her head was tilted a little bit to the side. Her legs were apart, one was a little ahead then the other.

Jennifer shouted out these words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. She then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her back.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of green light that surrounded the girl giving her the feel of leaves brushing across her face and around her body.

Then from the ground vines formed at the bottom of her feet. The vines then slowly moved up her body. Her legs were then covered from view. The vines continued to move up her body, her waist was then hidden, the vines continued to move up and they covered her upper body then they moved down her arms.

Then there was a large burst of green light and the vines started to move away from her body slowly moving down. The vines revealed her gloves then her body suit was formed. Next came her skirt and the vines completely disappeared and her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled.
From the heart came more vines they formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared with the vines.

At that point more vines appeared and they grew upward. The vines keep growing up until they were above her head. They then began to wrap around her body causing a wall of vines around her. The vines tied into a point above Jennifer's head. When the vines died down and the girl's hair slowly drops back resting on her shoulders. And Sailor Capella was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with her right arm stretched out in front of her. Her left arm is resting on her hip. Her head was tilted slightly forward. Her legs were together.

The Daystar Knight ran back into the room, Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki were no longer in the room, all of his classmates and the professor lay on the floor without their Heart Stones. "Damn too late!" He said as he quickly jumped out the window and landed two stories below, he looked around for the possible direction that Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki could have taken. It didn't take him long, he only had to follow the people laying on the ground.

"SUN FIRE BEAM . . . . . BURN!"

Sailor Sun stood with her legs together, then she put her hands together as if she were going to pray. She closed her eyes and slowly lifted her hands towards the sky. During the whole time Sailor Sun's hair was blowing fiercely around her.  There was a bright flash of golden and orange light which caused her body to shimmer, then a large golden fireball spin around Sailor Sun then turned and headed towards Kurai-ki and Shi-ryuu. When it reached him the fire ball began to spin around them but Shi-ryuu quickly moved out of the way and left Kurai-ki to be burned.

Sailor Capella dodged a attack from Kurai-ki and got ready to fire her attack off.

"CAPELLA EARTHQUAKE . . . RUMBLE!"

Sailor Capella stood on one leg, she did a full turn on her tiptoe. Her eyes were closed and her arms crossed over her chest. He head was stretched back as she looked up into the sky. She stopped sinning suddenly and turned to face Kurai-ki. Her eyes snapped open, she slammed her foot down on the ground, she now stood with both feet spread apart, she smiled and giggled to herself then with her right hand she reached down and punched the ground. There was a pause of silence, then from where her hand hit the ground a small rumbling could be felt, the rumbling began to get worse and worse, then the ground under Shi-ryuu's Kurai-ki's feet began to give away, then suddenly the earth around them began to rise and encased them in a rock shell.

"Nice try girls, but I am afraid that you missed me again!" Shi-ryuu said smugly. The three girls and the two guardian dogs turned to see Shi-ryuu flying in the air behind them without a scratch. The then quickly looked towards the rock shell which slowly crumbled and Kurai-ki stepped out bruised and battered.

"We can't even get a single attack on him!" Sailor Sun said in frustration. "This isn't good!" Then from behind Shi-ryuu the Daystar Knight came running, in his hands he held the Daystar Saber. he ran lightly on his feet and jumped high into the air with the sword pointed out so it would go into Shi-ryuu's back.

Just as the sword was a foot away Shi-ryuu turned quickly and faced the Daystar Knight. "I don't think so!" he said as with a few swift movements Shi-ryuu held the Daystar Knight by his neck and squeezed tightly. The Daystar Knight dropped his sword and with a clattering noise it hit the pavement below.

Shi-ryuu smiled a sister grin and began to punch the Daystar Knight with his free hand, he groaned in pain as Shi-ryuu punched him harder and harder. Sailor Sun just stood there starring at the scene before her eyes in shock, Sailor Capella held her wondered arm, which had been cut earlier by Kurai-ki's razor sharp leaves.

"POLLUX STORM TORNADO . . . . . SPIN!"

Sailor Pollux stood with her legs apart. Her hands were clasped across her chest. Her head was bowed and her eyes were closed. Then her eyes snapped open as her neck straightened. She put her hands above her head and a strong wind picked up. Sailor Pollux's hair and uniform blew wildly in the wind. She turned her wrist and a gray tornado came down from above. It surrounded her then she put her hands directly in front of her chest and the tornado spun out towards Shi-ryuu.

The demon saw the attack coming towards him and he quickly dropped the Daystar Knight to the ground below, again Shi-ryuu managed to get out of the way of the attack, no scratches marked his tough hide. Sailor Sun ran to her fallen prince's side. She picked his head up in her arms and rested it on her lap.

His wounds had already started to heal, and he managed to struggle to his feet with the help of Sailor Sun. The four warriors turned to face Kurai-ki and Shi-ryuu. "Oh come on you four look like a bunch of sour grapes!" Shi-ryuu laughed to himself before speaking again. "Now can we do something that actually makes me break a sweat?"

The four warriors glared at him in anger. Sailor Sun nodded her head and the three others all jumped to different side's of Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki. Each of the scouts got ready to attack. All at once they called out their attack phrase.

"SUN SOLAR FLARES . . . . . BURN!"

"DAYSTAR LASER LIGHT . . . . . STING!"

"POLLUX STORM TORNADO . . . . . SPIN!"

"CAPELLA EARTHQUAKE . . . RUMBLE!"

There was a blinding flash of light as the four attacks went towards Shi-ryuu and Kurai-ki. Flames, a laser light, tornado and an earthquake all rushed towards the two villains. Shi-ryuu without even thinking took Kurai-ki's body and used it as a shield for each of the attacks. So yet again Shi-ryuu got away without any scratches, while Kurai-ki was struggling to breathe.

The four warriors starred in appall. Shi-ryuu turned and smiled. "It was fun, but I must be off now!" Before the tall demon disappeared he threw a attack of fire at the four warriors, it came at them like a dragon and opened its fire mouth and wrapped around the warriors. They all screamed, but to their surprise it didn't do any harm to either of them.

And Shi-ryuu's laughter rang through the air. "So easy to trick!" Kurai-ki turned to the four warriors.

"Don't say I didn't tell you." He coughed. He staggered to his feet. "Just destroy me now!" He said as he finally made it to a standing position.

"We can heal you." Sailor Sun said as she took a step forward.

"No that won't do, you have to kill me now before he does!" Kurai-ki stood there in front of the scouts, he was completely harmless, he could do no more, all of his energy was going, he could barley stand before the scouts. Some how they couldn't destroy him, for he state he was in.

Suddenly from behind Kurai-ki and claw of fire appeared and it grabbed Kurai-ki and pulled him into a vortex of some kind. The four warriors looked at one another. Sirens could be heard in the background. "We had better de-transform." The Daystar Knight said as he put a arm around Sailor Sun.

In four flashes, one red, one maroon, one turquoise and one bronze they were standing in the destroyed square with people laying all around them with out a Heart Stone, without their soul. They quickly made themselves scarce along with the two guardian dogs.
