Chapter # 17 – Romeo And Juliet : Emperor Valico's Prison –

Note: Hi, well I had to make this chapter a .html document rather then the normal .txt document, the reason is just this, the .txt documents don't hold has much as a .html document can and I have found that my chapters or episodes are becoming a bit longer. So from now on they will be in .html. Oh and please if you have not already sign the new guestbook, that way I can have a rough idea on how many people read the fanfiction and come to the page and enjoy it! It will be a big help!! "Hey guys, guess what!" Jennifer said as she walked over to where Jessica, Alissa, Brooke, Lindsey and Britney all sat. She was waving a piece of paper in her hand. Everyone turned and looked at the curly haired girl as she neared and sat down on the floor beside the group of girls.

"What, Jenn?" Alissa asked excitement in her voice as she looked over at her friend.

"I'm going to try out for this years play!" She said as she turned around the colorful piece of paper she was holding in her hand, across the top was written the title of the play, "Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet!" Jennifer said before anyone could open their mouth.

"Really? You are going to try out for Shakespeare! Good luck at remembering any lines . . . if you even get the part!" Britney said rather rudely. Everyone turned to look at her with shocked eyes.

"That wasn't very nice at all Britney, why are you acting like that?" Jessica asked, a bit angered at her friend.

"Well I also am trying out for the play, and I am going to get the lead part as Juliet!" She stated as she stood up and began to recite lines from the play. Everyone rolled their eyes at her very poor speech.

"Well we will see about that!" Jenn suddenly felt really competitive, she threatened Britney as she got up and walked off towards her first class. Britney did the same, she got up and walked off in the other direction. The remaining girls just shook their heads and rolled their eyes.

"Now they are going to hate each other until this whole thing is over!" Brooke quietly said as she collected her books that lay out in front of her.

"Yeah, I just hope this gets all over with soon!" Jessica said as she rose to her fee and brushed off her school uniform. The other three girls nodded.

Alissa also rose to her feet, with the help of Jessica, Brooke was the next to stand then Lindsey. "Come on lets go to science class." Lindsey suggested. "We are in the lab again today."

The girls all groaned and followed Lindsey down the hall. Jessica turned to Alissa. "This is going to be a rough next couple of months, lots of tension between Jenn and Brittany."

"Oh yeah! They are going to be at each others necks like cats and dogs until this thing is over!" Alissa stated.

"Well maybe one of them whoever doesn't get the part as the lead female will shut up." Brooke suggested as they rounded a corner.

"Lets just hope for the best!" Jessica and Alissa both said as the same time. They giggled and entered the science lab, there Britney was already waiting for her partners. Jessica and Alissa said bye to Brooke as the sea green haired girl walked off towards English.

"Well Kurai-ki state your progress on the last mission." The Emperor stood off to the side leaning up against a wall, he looked down at the almost done Star Pendulum. Chains were being out on so it could hang from the unseen ceiling high above.

Kurai-ki stood there nervously. "There was no progress in the last mission, the Sailor Scouts managed to get a hold of the orb and broke it open, giving back all of the Heart Stones that I had gotten that day." Kurai-ki's voice shook with fear.

The Emperor looked at Kurai-ki with angry eyes. "You failed!" His voice boomed, the little demons that worked on the Star Pendulum shuttered. Kurai-ki gulped hard and nodded his head awkwardly. "Well then I think it is time to call forth Shi-ryuu.

A dead silence went throughout the room, all of the little demons shuttered in fear as the name was spoke. Kurai-ki began to feel light headed, he had wished to never have to hear that name, let alone meet him again. "I will get all of them back!" Kurai-ki argued. "I can get all of them and more!" He protested. Emperor Valico just stood there and smirked.

"You will not be able to change the decision . . ." He paused and looked down at the little demons that were not working. "Get back to work!!" He yelled, they all squealed and started to get back to work. The Emperor turned and looked at Kurai-ki. "So you had better go, I want you to ready a room for him, and you had better be in my chambers this time tomorrow, for that is when Shi-ryuu will be coming."

Kurai-ki nodded and quickly ran down the hall. 'Now what?' He thought to himself. As he disappeared into the darkness.

"Well wish me luck guys!" Jennifer said as she walked off towards the stage, her name had just been called and it was her turn to go up and saw a few lines from the play. She recited them with much ease, the few people in the audience clapped. The woman who was putting on the play seemed to be very pleased with the performance.

"NEXT!" she called out, Britney stood up, it was her turn. She walked up at read her part. a few people clapped, it was more out of pity then anything else. "Alright, listen up girls, I have picked the person who will be my Juliet! But you will have to wait until I pick my Romeo until I tell you."

Conversations broke out. Jennifer sat beside Jessica, while Britney came and sat beside Lindsey on the other side of he row. Jessica leaned over to Jennifer. "Hey Jenn, you have got that part!" She said happily, Alissa leaned over and nodded her head vigorously.

A wide smile spread across her face. "Now lets just hope that Romeo is a really cutie!!" She said as she watched the director shift threw some notes.

"Alright boys, line up!" She said in a very loud voice, seven boys got up from various spots in the room and walked over and stood in line. One by one they went up. The last to go up was Ryan Page. He went up and cleared his throat.

Before he started Britney whispered into Lindsay's ear. "Isn't think perfect, not only am I going to get the part as Juliet, but Ryan is going to be my Romeo!!" She said just a bit above a whisper.

"Alright Mr. Page, please begin." The woman signaled and sat back to listen to the young man's voice and tone.

"If I profane with my unworthiest hand. This holy shrine, the gentle fine is this: My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand. To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss. " Once he was done reading, everyone sat there with their jaws dropped and eyes wide, he was perfect, everything ran together so well.

"Mr. Page, you are our Romeo!" The woman said excitedly. "And our Juliet is Miss. Allen!" The woman turned around to find the face of her new lead actress.

Jennifer's eyes went wide as she stood up, Britney got a really mad look on her face and crossed her arms across her chest, a deep disappointed sigh escaped her lips. The director handed out the scripts to the Romeo and Juliet. She had a quick talk with each of them then turned out to the audience.

"And don't worry each one of you who tried out will have a part, because there are still many parts to be filled!" The woman said excitement bursting from her voice. More conversations broke out. "Now come and get a script, read it over and decide which two characters you would like to play, then be in this room tomorrow and will assign the rest of the parts out.

"Emperor Valico?" Kurai-ki slowly walked around the corner and entered the Emperor's room, there the clocked demon and the beast stood, they both turned to face Kurai-ki. The green demon bowed with his hand over his chest.

"What is it Kurai-ki? I hope you are not here to get me to un-invite Shi-ryuu are you?" Kurai-ki shuttered as the Emperor spoke the name. The green demon shook his head 'no'. "Well then what is it?" The Emperor demanded an answer.

"I want to go to the surface and attack, I know you will not change your mind, but I would at least like to go to the surface and attack the Sailor Scouts." Kurai-ki suggested.

"Very well, but I do not want to see you until tomorrow when Shi-ryuu comes. So go now and try to attack the Sailor Scouts. I want positive results!" The Emperor hollered.

Kurai-ki nodded his head and left the throne room. "I am glad that you have finally decided to get Shi-ryuu to come, maybe if he is here more work will be done and more Heart Stones will be stolen." The beast said as he turned to face the Emperor's unseen face.

"Yes, Kurai-ki will not only be more motivated, but more disciplined, along with any other demons who act out of line." The Emperor walked towards the door. "I have to be off, must make sure that the feast will be prepared just the way Shi-ryuu will like it."

The beast nodded and walked off and disappeared into the murky water of the fountain.

"Hey Jessica are you going to be coming up after school?" Alissa asked as she shut her locker and turned to her red haired friend. Jessica nodded, and mumbled a few words, in her mouth she held a folder. She nodded her head and mumbled something which sounded like Jennifer's name.

"Right, I'll invite Jenn as well." Alissa said as she took the folder from her friends mouth.

"Good, but we will have to go to her house first, we will have to pick up Nova, unless Jenn remembered to tell Nova to meet us where Eclipse and Kevin meet us." Jessica said as she finished putting some books into her new shoulder bag.

"I'll ask her, I've got next class with her, then I will see you in last class." Alissa turned from Jessica and began to walk down the hall, she meet up with Jennifer. Jessica closed her locker after she was one hundred percent sure that she had everything, she didn't want to fight with the locker to get a book out. She shut the locker and walked down the hallway

As she walked down she ran into Jason, Jessica rolled her eyes. "Too bad I didn't get Romeo and you Juliet." He joked.

"Yeah whatever Jason, anyway when is the finals for the fencing tournament going to be held?" Jessica asked as they walked towards their next class.

"Well they finished repairing today and they have to repaint tomorrow and Thursday. Then we get to compete on Friday at six o'clock." Jason explained. "And Lou wants us to go for a practice on Wednesday." Jason said as the entered the classroom.

"Hi Eclipse, hi Nova!" Jessica, Alissa and Jennifer said in unison as they all ran down the street towards the two dogs that sat on the corner of the street. They ran up and greeted the girls, Eclipse in his down to earth relaxed way and Nova in a very formal way, always calling the girls by their princess names, or Miss. Jessica, Miss. Alissa and Miss. Jennifer.

The three girls and the two dogs made their way towards Alissa's house. "Well we have three scouts now. Only two more to go, now each of you have to keep aware at all times, the other two scouts are in your grade, they might not be going to your school, there are lots of other schools in this area." Eclipse went on as they walked up Alissa's driveway.

"Where is Kevin anyway?" Jessica asked as she looked down at Eclipse with questioning eyes.

"He has gone to school, he decided to go to the Mount St. Vincent University, since he gout out of school so early in Japan he was not allowed to go into any collages or universities, but here they welcome him. So he is taking courses"

"Really?!" Jessica said happily. "That is great, but isn't school out by now?" She asked as she looked down at her watch.

"Yes but he had to go through the whole sign in process, get his books and pick out his courses." Eclipse said as they stopped at Alissa's house. The three girls sat down on the front porch stairs.

Nova was about to open her mouth but was interrupted by a cry of fear that echoed through the air. The smaller dog turned to each of the girls in turn. "I think that each of you should transform now princesses." Nova said as she stepped back to give the girls some room.

Jessica looked around, she lead the two other girls up into the barn then into the tack room. She nodded and they each held their transformation medallions above their heads. And called out their transformation phrases.

"SOLARIS STAR . . . . ."

"POLLUX STAR . . . . ."

"CAPELLA STAR . . . . ."

Then all together they called out, "POWER!"

Jessica then closed her eyes. The Solaris Medallion disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles; this caused her body to shimmer the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel then emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feeling of the bright morning sun on her body.

Then a swirl of orange and gold sparkles warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bows came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point there was a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was then revealed fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. She stood there with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair then blew to the side.

Alissa shouted out the phrase as she held her transformation item above her head. Alissa then closed her eyes then her transformation wand disappeared.

Her hair was then lifted off of her shoulders. I strong gust picked up and swirled around her. Then her silver tiara appeared with the white jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of gray light that surrounded Alissa giving her the feel of a warm spring breeze blowing through her hair and across her face.

Then the swirling air divided into rings and two rings went around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. Gray rings of air went around her feet forming boots. Then more gray rings went around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the gray air went around her waist forming her skirt.

At that point the wind picked up greatly, her hair was blowing wildly. From above a tornado came down and circled around Alissa blocking her from view. When the tornado died down and her hair slowly dropped back resting on her shoulders. Sailor Pollux was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with both of her hands on her cheeks, looking very innocent and harmless. Her head was tilted a little bit to the side. Her legs were apart, one was a little ahead then the other.

The girl shouted out these words as she held her transformation medallion above her head. She then closed her eyes then her transformation medallion disappeared. Her hair was then lifted off of her back.

Then her silver tiara appeared with the green jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of green light that surrounded the girl giving her the feel of leaves brushing across her face and around her body.

Then from the ground vines formed at the bottom of her feet. The vines then slowly moved up her body. Her legs were then covered from view. The vines continued to move up her body, her waist was then hidden, the vines continued to move up and they covered her upper body then they moved down her arms.

Then there was a large burst of green light and the vines started to move away from her body slowly moving down. The vines revealed her gloves then her body suit was formed. Next came her skirt and the vines completely disappeared and her boots were reviled. The heart in the center of her chest was reveled.
From the heart came more vines they formed her bow. Then the bow in her back appeared with the vines.

At that point more vines appeared and they grew upward. The vines keep growing up until they were above her head. They then began to wrap around her body causing a wall of vines around her. The vines tied into a point above her head. When the vines died down and the girl's hair slowly drops back resting on her shoulders. And Sailor Capella was reveled fully transformed. She did her transformation pose. Her pose was her standing with her right arm stretched out in front of her. Her left arm is resting on her hip. Her head was tilted slightly forward. Her legs were together.

The three Stellar Scouts ran down the driveway with the two Doberman pincher's at their heels, in the direction of the scream, they all came to a halt at a streetlight. "Where did the scream come from?" Sailor Sun asked as she looked in either direction, then she was answered with another scream. They began to run again off in the direction of the scream.

They soon found themselves in a construction site. Workers bodies lay scattered all over the place. Sailor Pollux ran up to the closet man. "His Heart Stone was stolen." She sadly said as she stood up. "Where is Kurai-ki?" She asked as she looked around for the green demon.

"There!" Sailor Capella pointed up towards a large crane. The other two Scouts and the two dogs followed Sailor Capella's finger up to the crane, and sure enough there Kurai-ki stood with his arms crossed.

"I see you Scouts have found me, took you long enough, I have already stolen everyone's Heart Stone at this job site, and here I was waiting for you so I could destroy you!" Kurai-ki boldly said as he spread his wings and soared up into the air.

"I am the sailor scout of the red star the sun, fighting for all within the sol system! With the flames of the sun, and the power of fire, prepare to burn because I will punish you!" Sailor Sun got into a fighting stance, Eclipse was at her side.

"I am the sailor scout of the storm planet, Pollux, fighting with an un-stop able rage like a hurricane! With the power of the air so beware of the air around you, for I control the north, east, south and west winds!" Sailor Pollux stepped up she stood just slightly behind Sailor Sun on her right side.

"I am the sailor scout of the planet of nature and life, Capella. I fight for all the living beings which are pure! With the power of the natural world, prepare to suffer my earthshaking power because I will avenge all of those souls which you have hurt! In the name of Capella!" Sailor Capella finished off the introduction and got into a fighting stance slightly behind Sailor Sun on her left with Nova at her other side.

"I have heard it all before, so now that you are done with that can I destroy you know?" Kurai-ki asked as he circled around the Scouts, they all came back to back ready for any attack that Kurai-ki would fire. "By the silence I am guessing that you are waiting patently for your deaths!"

Kurai-ki stood in the air with his legs apart, his arms pointing up and his wings flapping furiously behind him. He quickly crouched up into a ball behind his wings and began to fall towards the ground, but just before he hit his wings flared out again and let him hover a few feet over the ground.

Kurai-ki then quickly flew foreword towards the three scouts with his arms out, he close lined the three girls, they were flung into one of the large pieces of construction equipment. They all groaned in pain, the two guardian dogs took their chances and leapt onto Kurai-ki's back biting and clawing at his wings.

Enraged the demon spread his wings wide and the two dogs got flung to the ground. Both struggled to their feet, Kurai-ki turned to them and smiled. "Oh now come on now, did you two dogs really think that you could do any real damage to me? Two talking dogs?" Kurai-ki asked feeling rather amused by the dogs attempt.

He walked over and kicked Eclipse in the stomach, the dog yelped, Sailor Sun heard the dogs call, she opened her eyes and began to stand, another yelp was heard, this time it was Nova's, Sailor Capella's eyes flared with anger as she struggled to her feet. Sailor Pollux was the last to stand, she got up and followed the two other scouts.

Eclipse lifted his head slowly, the pain could be seen in his eyes. "It seems our little attempt has worked!" Eclipse said, but with every word pain shot through his stomach. Kurai-ki cocked his eyebrow, then releasing what the dog meant he turned in the direction that the three Stellar Scouts had been flung.

They weren't there, there was only a large dent in the equipment. "Looking for us?" Sailor Pollux said from her hiding place. Kurai-ki turned towards the voice. There was no Sailor Pollux there.

"Try over here!" Sailor Capella's voice could be heard, Kurai-ki quickly spun in the direction of the Scouts voice, she was no where to be seen.

"Come on baka dark tree!" Sailor Sun taunted as her voice echoed through the constriction site. Kurai-ki turned around in circles trying to spot the Stellar Scouts as their voices could be heard from every corner of the construction. Suddenly they stopped, it seemed that Kurai-ki was standing alone.

The three scouts quickly jumped out of their hiding spots and called out their attack phrases.

"SUN FIRE BEAM . . . . . BURN!"

"POLLUX STORM TORNADO . . . . . SPIN!"

"CAPELLA EARTHQUAKE . . . RUMBLE!"

Sailor Sun stood with her legs together, then she put her hands together as if she were going to pray. She closed her eyes and slowly lifted her hands towards the sky. During the whole time Sailor Sun's hair was blowing fiercely around her.  There was a bright flash of golden and orange light which caused her body to shimmer, then a large golden fireball spin around Sailor Sun then turned and headed towards Kurai-ki. When it reached him along with the other attacks, the fire ball spin around the target a couple of times and each time the fireball got closer to the skin of Kurai-ki burning it.

Sailor Pollux stood with her legs apart. Her hands were clasped across her chest. Her head was bowed and her eyes were closed. Then her eyes snapped open as her neck straightened. She put her hands above her head and a strong wind picked up. Sailor Pollux's hair and uniform blew wildly in the wind. She turned her wrist and a gray tornado came down from above. It surrounded her then she put her hands directly in front of her chest and the tornado spun out towards Kurai-ki with Sailor Sun's attack.

Sailor Capella stood on one leg, she did a full turn on her tiptoe. Her eyes were closed and her arms crossed over her chest. He head was stretched back as she looked up into the sky. She stopped sinning suddenly and turned to face Kurai-ki. Her eyes snapped open, she slammed her foot down on the ground, she now stood with both feet spread apart, she smiled and giggled to herself then with her right hand she reached down and punched the ground. There was a pause of silence, then from where her hand hit the ground a small rumbling could be felt, the rumbling began to get worse and worse, then the ground under Kurai-ki's feet began to give away, then suddenly the earth around him began to rise and encased him in a rock shell.

After the three attacks died down Kurai-ki fell to his knees, slightly singed, his hair ruffled and small specks of dirt were on his body here and there. "Just destroy me now!" Kurai-ki said in a shaky tone. "Being destroyed by you three will not be anything near as bad as what Shi-ryuu will do to me!" The demon said as he pounded his fists onto the ground.

Sailor Sun quickly did some translating in her mind, the name meant. "Evil dragon." Sailor Sun said out loud. "Who is this Shi-ryuu?" Sailor Sun questioned casually as she walked up to Kurai-ki.

"He is like the devil himself, he has done many bad deeds which could out beat the devil, he is pure evil and he is my . . . " Kurai-ki paused and looked up at Sailor Sun.

"I don't know why I will tell you this but, watch out for him, because he will give you much more trouble then what I could, I am sure that he is much stronger the Emperor Valico." Kurai-ki slowly made his way to his feet, the three Stellar Scouts quickly backed away.

"Here is my parting gift, because I do not know if I will survive meeting Shi-ryuu again." Kurai-ki turned and with a evil look in his eyes he flung a few of his razor sharp leaves at the Stellar Scouts, they shielded their eyes and body the best that they could with their gloved arms.

Sailor Sun squinted her eyes and saw Kurai-ki disappear, as soon as he was gone, the attack died down, the leaves fell to the ground and were no other then regular leaves. Sailor Sun ran to Eclipse's side, while Sailor Capella ran to Nova's.

The two dogs slowly got to their feet. They were still feeling a bit sore, but could move normally. "Eclipse, Nova?" Sailor Pollux asked as she looked to the two dogs. They looked up at her with questioning eyes. "You still have not told us who Emperor Valico is, and do you know anything about this new character, Shi-ryuu?" The blonde haired scout asked.

The wounded Eclipse looked from Nova to Sailor Pollux, the big regal dog sat down, Nova sat at his side. "Emperor Valico has been around for what seems like forever. Where he came from, no one really knows, so says that he has come from Hell its self. Others say that he came from the neatherealm. And he to was banished much like your aunt, except Sol Daystar's father did the banishing this time." Eclipse paused and looked at Sailor Sun. He went on.

"But the reason was different, Emperor Valico and his army of demons would cause deeds of evil without purpose of reason. The King of the Daystar banished him to the neatherealm, there he stayed for many years as the great seal was renewed every thousand years by that times ruler. But once Queen Serenity had fallen along with the Moon Kingdom the seal was not renewed and he managed to escape, in a way. It is said that he is still trapped in his eternal prison, but his lower minions can leave, hence the reason for getting the Heart Stones, with the amount of energy that each of the stones hold he will be able to break the lock which holds him in his eternal prison."

"What about Shi-ryuu?" Sailor Capella asked.

"Shi-ryuu, like Kurai-ki said he is pure evil, he steals people's souls for fun, he does many evil deeds, he too is a demon much like Kurai-ki. Rumor has it that he is older then Emperor Valico, but other then that, little is known about him." Nova explained.

"Well I have a feeling that we will be finding a lot more about him." Sailor Sun pointed out as she stood up from the bucket on which she sat.
