Blitzkrieg: Shi-ryuu’s Return

"Ahh you do remember me,” Tou said calmly
with a cold and smug smile plastered on his face. "I had to
thank you for leading me to that antique shop - I never would
have found that scroll had you not been out talking about your
cousin" he jeered to Sailor Sun and she and the others looked
back and forth between Rayden and Tou confused.
Rayden though said nothing
though it was very clear he wanted to wipe that smirk off of the
Sorcerer's face.
Tou watched them all very
calmly, "ahh your waiting for the thunder god here to tell you
what to do - pity I won't be doing the same" he stated
arrogantly before something invisible struck the Daystar Knight
from behind and Reptile appeared - axe in hand … and next to him
appeared a purple and black clad ninja with no weapons in either
hand.
The Stellar Senshi all stood back to back as
they faced their new adversaries. "Bring it on!" Sailor Spica
said as she clenched her fists tightly.
Reptile hissed as he removed his mask,
exposing his lizard like face, the other ninja's brown eyes
narrowed and he put a hand on Reptile's forearm and the
lizard-man stepped back.
Thunder was heard from all around the man
before he raised his hand and a bolt of lightning shot forth,
and upon hitting Sailor Spica head on - the powerful bolt of
lightning instantly threw her back. And as she hit the ground
she made a skid mark in the snow – her body coming to a halt ten
paces away.
"I am Rain" the ninja said and Tou laughed at
the Stellar Scouts. "I believe the battle is now joined - Goro!
Baraka!" he ordered and Baraka moved to join the other two
generals.
Out of the darkness stepped a huge hulking
giant monster with four arms and two legs, he had only one top
knot of hair which was braided into a pony tale, and emerging
from the back of his head, his eyes glowed evilly as he looked
at the Stellar Scouts, his teeth (which were very sharp)
gleaming as well.
"Any ideas?" Sailor Shaula asked as the group
slowly made their way to where Sailor Spica was lying unmoving.
"You fight them" Rayden said sadly, inwardly
cursing the fact that he had to follow the rules while Akujun's
forces were in fact not following them as he went over to Sailor
Spica and placed a healing hand on her head. “It will take time
for me to heal her.” He stated regretfully.
"Puny Mortals" Goro bellowed. "I the Prince
of Pain shall crush you both" he said evilly as he flexed his
muscular arms and looked at Sailor Sun and the Daystar Knight
and laughed. “I will crush you both like grapes.”
Sailor Sun and Daystar Knight exchanged
glances, and both went to either side of Goro and the huge
monster laughed before he took a swing at them, his massive arms
nearly hitting them but since they were smaller they were able
to dodge his attack.
Reptile hissed as he charged at Sailor
Capella, Baraka's arm blades glinting in the sunlight as he
attacked Sailor Pollux and Rain silently began his attack
against Sailor Shaula.
Tou watched them and
laughed evilly, "a fair battle wouldn't you say Rayden?"
"Nothing is fair about your sideshow freaks"
Rayden shot back.
"I wonder if the great and ohh sooo powerful
thunder god is angry because he knows he cannot interfere" the
sorcerer stated snidely as he looked at the thunder god. “But
then you know you cannot disobey the rules” he jeered. “Even if
it means their deaths,” he added evilly.
Rayden just watched in
defeat. He knew he could not help them, and it angered him that
the sorcerer could just watch calmly as the battle began, while
he; was worried about the scouts dieing against the Neatherealm
warriors.
Baraka roared as he tried
to hack and slash Sailor Pollux who kept sidestepping him, his
anger getting the better of him - allowing Sailor Pollux to
unleash a series of combos that began to get the better of the
nomad.
Sailor Capella on the other hand had her
hands full, Reptile would vanish then reappear all around her,
placing kicks, punches and other attacks all over her person.
She'd managed to kick his axe away but still she was having
trouble with him and Rain was having almost no trouble with
Sailor Shaula. Every time she tried a water attack he would take
control of it then send it back at her, even going so far as to
charge the water with his lightning attacks, causing even more
trouble for her.
"PUNY HUMAN!" Goro roared as he grabbed the
Daystar Knight by the neck - intent on crushing his very
windpipe. "I will crush you like a grape!!" he snarled before
Sailor Sun punched him hard in the groin and he released her
boyfriend and staggered back in pain.
However she didn't come out unscathed either,
her hand felt like it had hit a ton of bricks!
"Oww!! What the hell do you have in there?"
Sailor Sun asked as she jumped back out of Goro's reach, holding
her throbbing hand. Enraged the four-armed humanoid hurled a
series of fireballs at them.
Sailor Sun and Daystar Knight managed to flip
out of the path of the barrage of fireballs, but Reptile wasn't
as lucky. The Zatterran nearly caught fire as nine balls of fire
slammed into him.
He screamed then staggered and glared at Goro
before spitting acid at him, and the giant yelped in pain before
he snarled angrily and attacked Reptile the two of them now
fighting against each other.
"STOP YOU IDIOTS!!!" Tou ordered but they
paid him neither warrior paid him heed, and this angered Tou who
then turned and glared at Sailor Sun and the Daystar knight. "If
they won't kill the two of you, then I will" He stated coldly.
Sailor Sun did have a wide grin on her face
until Tou threatened them. "I'd like to see you try!"
Tou's eyes glowed eerily as a mace appeared in
his right hand. "You will get your wish insolent girl" he said
as he charged them.
"Great." Was all Sailor Sun said before
Daystar Knight swept her up in his arms and set her down far out
of Tou's reach.
Tou nearly slammed the mace into Daystar
Knight's stomach before he dodged a powerful kick by Sailor Sun
and then slammed that mace into her right leg, causing her to
fall to the ground.
As the two of them fought Tou, none of them
saw Sailor Spica who was fully healed now, as she got up and saw
the Sorcerer attacking her friends with a ruthlessness that was
clearly driving them back – and he didn’t even seem to be
breaking a sweat!
"SPICA MOLTEN ROCK BALLS . . . . . BLAZE!"
The lava senshi said as she raised her hands above her head and
the ground beneath her began to crack, revealing glowing red
lava. Kneeling down in a fast steady movement Sailor Spica
cupped her hands and a glowing ball or molten rock began to
form, followed by another and another.
She then began to fire them, throwing them
like a baseball pitcher one after the other at her enemies.
Tou turned then hurled
green flaming skulls at the attacks, Goro and Baraka aiding him,
leaving the other scouts alone long enough for them to run to
the temple.
Reptile and Rain however were not to be
discouraged, and together the two friends teleported into the
temple and waited to ambush the four scouts and the daystar
knight who made a mad dash for the temple. Rain was the first, a
lightning attack that nearly hit Sailor Pollux alerting the
group to the two ninjas, and instantly they were locked into
combat with the purple and black clad ninja.
Reptile meanwhile had seen the amulet and was
even now making a grab for it, doing another super crawl along
the ceiling to go after it.
But Eclipse got to it first, the large dog
bounded up and managed to get the amulet in his mouth before he
ran behind one of the many large pillars that lined the Temple –
away from the now enraged lizard-man who began to flip after
him.
Snarling and hissing angrily his forked
tongue shot out, grabbed the amulet and wrestled it away from
the dog. "Thisssssssssss doessssssssss not belong to you!" He
hissed as his tongue zoomed back to him at an impossible speed
and he grabbed the amulet before Nova could try for it.
Rain laughed as he flipped over the Stellar
Scouts and then teleported beside Reptile. "We have what we came
for, let's go,” he said and Reptile grinned evilly as a portal
to the Neatherealm opened up before them.
"Yesssssssssssss, the masssssssster will be
pleasssssssssssssssed." Reptile hissed before he turned and saw
Nova standing there beside Eclipse.
For a moment he stopped as memories came back
to him, of how when he had been a mere hatchling, it had been
Nova who had taken care of him while his father and mother were
away, but then he shook those thoughts away and jumped into the
portal alongside Rain…
Outside Reickon Tou grinned at Rayden before
he turned to Goro and Baraka, "and now it's time to go" he said
and instantly a portal flared to life and the three of them
left. “I’ll give my regards to the Akujun for you!” he said as
he jumped through the portal laughing at the thunder god.
Rayden shook his head
before he turned to face the Stellar Scouts, "what happened?" he
said though he was pretty sure he knew the answer.
"I . . . I don't know." Sailor Sun said
sadly.
Eclipse and Nova walked out, their heads
hanging low. "They got the amulet," Nova said sadly as she and
Eclipse walked out of the temple, their heads hung low in
failure. "Reptile got to the amulet," she said sadly.
Rayden winced, "they'll
give it to Akujun" he said as he clenched his right hand and
made a fist and the implications of his own words hit him hard.
“And then he’ll use it to break his seal.”
"So now what? Do we go after them?" Sailor
Spica asked as she kicked a stone out of her way.
Rayden shook his head.
"That's probably what they want, they know my powers would be
gone if I went with you to the Neatherealm."
"Well then what?" Sailor Capella asked sadly.
"I'd suggest finding a way to split up the
Apocalypse Scouts and Skorr and Tasha - with her on your side,
things would get a lot better if you had her help. She's as
powerful as you are Princess, maybe even more so since she is
also a sorceress" he recommended.
"Well that isn't going to be a walk in the
park. How do you suggest that?" Sailor Pollux sighed, everything
it seemed had a catch or am obstacle that seemed to deter them
from their goal.
"Pray for a miracle?" he joked, trying to
lighten their spirits.
Sailor Pollux glared at Rayden. "Very funny,
ha, ha, ha."
He chuckled, "I get no respect" he quipped.
"No respect at all."
Sighing he rubbed his eyes, "thankfully
things would be worse if he had all his children serving him.
The six were nearly unstoppable when they teamed up. Thankfully
Kurai-ki was ready to listen to me."
"Well how did you manage to "turn" Kurai-ki?"
Sailor Shaula asked.
"I didn't turn him, he came and sought me out
after his father and his remaining family members began to hunt
down and exterminate Kasumi's family."
"Exterminated?" Sailor Spica asked and he
nodded once.
"Yes, Kasumi's family had once been servants
of the Neatherealm’s former ruler – before Akujun took control
of that realm many years ago."
"And he came to you to save Kasumi right?"
Sailor Spica asked.
Rayden nodded in agreement,
"yes, something which I never expected, neither did Akujun who
sent Shi-ryuu to kill Valico and Kurai-ki. Apparently the entire
family wanted revenge against him for what they saw as a serious
transgression. Now because of Shi-ryuu’s death they are after
all of you apparently."
"Yeah, kind of figured that." Sailor Sun said
as she looked down at the ground.
"What troubles you Princess?" Eclipse asked after
awhile.
Sailor Sun sighed as she looked at Eclipse.
"Everything is getting much harder then before."
"It shouldn’t be once you stop Akujun, before
he begins whatever he is planning" Rayden pointed out, "getting
himself free could just be the icing on the cake as it were."
"What do you mean?" Sailor Capella asked.
"Well when he first tried to take over, his
plan back then had several steps – the first being to marshal
enough forces to help him takeover, the second was creating that
amulet and the third, sending his children to fight the other
elders. During my battle with him, an entire race of sentient
beings was exterminated before I banished him and his children
to the Neatherealm, somehow however Skorr and the rest of his
children escaped with an army of demons and well you know the
rest."
Eclipse nodded once, "and brought a lot of
suffering to the sun kingdom." He added with a shake of his
head. "What were they after?"
"I would assume the Golden Illusion Jewel, it
does have a lot of power, perhaps even more if Skorr was able to
contaminate it."
"So can we use the Golden Illusion Jewel
against them? To give us a foot up?" Sailor Sun's voice was very
hopeful, she wanted to find some sort of loophole, so that she
and the other Stellar Senshi could have a chance at stopping the
fallen elder.
"If Skorr doesn't corrupt it, that's his
greatest power." Rayden said in disgust. "He corrupted many
things and beings before he was banished. In fact I am surprised
he hasn't tried to corrupt any of you before now."
"So I suppose now we go home?" Sailor Pollux
asked as she rubbed her bare arms.
Nodding Rayden waved his hand and another
portal appeared before them, "I have to go check in with those
above me, this portal will take you back to Halifax" he said
before he vanished in a flash of lightning.
"He never lets us say thank-you." Sailor
Capella said as she followed the others into the portal.
With a roar, the portal flared to life again
and then they found themselves standing where they had been
before, looking up at the town around them, for some reason the
lights being turned on and blinking made each of them smile as
they thought of how peaceful the town was.
"I-i-it looks so peaceful" she said to the
others who nodded as they each thought of how when even things
were possibly bad, there was still some things that could make
them smile again.
Her smile left though, as thoughts of Tasha began
to plague her, her cousin seemed so unhappy, so self-destructive
and she wondered if there was anything she could do to save
her.
**********Neatherealm*************
Reickon Tou and all of Akujun's generals
bowed low before Akujun as he gazed at the amulet now in his
right hand once more – his amulet – the one that would allow him
to resurrect his second eldest son Shi-ryuu. He could feel the
power that was coursing through it and he turned to look at
Skorr and Takai before turning to Sailors Eclipse, Malice and
Scourge - all of whom where kneeling as well, with De'mitri
beside them as his eyes glowed in triumph as he began to summon
it’s power and focus it in a way that only he knew how to focus
it.
Instantly the amulet crackled as it responded
to his thoughts and a soul was pulled from the realm of limbo, a
body forming around the soul; first the body grew two massive
bat like wings, then a tail with spikes emerging from it, then
two pairs of reptilian eyes formed, followed by a handsome face.
The body’s skin color changed from a dull gray to a
grayish-purple skin in color.
Then the eyes then slowly began to glow with
intelligence and cunning both of which matched the demon’s
somewhat bland face – a face that was slowly beginning to show
various emotions, from love to happiness, and then finally from
awe to triumph.
Skorr and the others
watched as the demon slowly got up and smiled evilly, yet also
lovingly, his handsome features making him appear more beatific
as he got up from the crouch he had been in before he looked
around, never taking his eyes off four people: Akujun, Skorr,
Takai and Sailor Scourge.
"Welcome back to the land of the living my
second son" Akujun said in that booming voice of his as the
amulet's glow died out.
"And may I say that it's good to be back
father" the demon said in what was now a pleasant voice instead
of a harsh and cruel one. "Back home, with family."
"Leave us" Akujun ordered his generals and
his arch-sorcerer all of whom bowed and then left. "You were
missed Shi-ryuu" he said tears forming in his green eyes.
Skorr sniffed, "I think I'm
going to cry" he joked earning a glare from his father and from
Takai and Sailor Scourge. "What? I'm happy to see him too" he
said honestly.
Shi chuckled as he walked over and then
embraced his father and brothers in a hug, "and I missed you too
Skorry" he said as he looked up at his father, "what's on the
agenda dad?" he asked slowly - he was itching for a chance to
eliminate Sailor Sun and the other Stellar Scouts, especially
Sailor Sun since she had killed him.
"Destroying your murderers of course, and in
destroying the bonds that hold us here," the fallen elder said
as he and his children let go. “And in planning my revenge
against the other elders.”
"Thought so" Shi said before he turned to
look over at Sailor Scourge who looked at him and smiled, "hey"
was all he said as she walked over to him.
"Hey" she said before she kissed him on the
lips, "I-i-i-i mi-ss-miss-ed-missed you" she stammered.
"And I you" he replied with a chuckle as he
returned her kissed. “I missed everyone here.” He said honestly
before his thoughts sobered and he turned to look at his father.
“I failed you father – I-I-I could not make Kurai-ki see the
error of his ways.” He said sadly.
“I know my son, I felt his death when you
killed him, but you did what you had to do.” Akujun stated
slowly before he smiled, “and now I call upon you to aid your
family once more by eliminating those vile accursed Stellar
Scouts.” He said, his loving voice turning to one of bitter
hatred.
“I’m all for that father,” Shi said as he looked
up at his father reverently – he couldn’t wait for his next
birthday, which was only four days away…
