Sailor Moon Millennium #18 - Changes -

"Oh I'm so tired, I really don't want to go to Raye's so early on a weekend." Jessica sleepily stood up out of bed and walked over to her door and grabbed her red housecoat in her right hand, as she held up her left hand to her mouth as she yawned. "It is seven o'clock." Jessica looked over at her alarm clock that rested on the bedside table beside her large bed.

"Jessica it is still the summer, even though it is a weekend it makes it no different from a weekday." Eclipse said as he walked over to the bathroom door and nudged it with his nose. The white door swung open and Jessica 
Walker through it.

"But on weekends I sleep in until twelve o'clock and on weekdays I sleep in until eleven o'clock." Jessica closed the bathroom door behind her. Eclipse just rolled his eyes.

'What am I going to do about her?' Eclipse shook his head and walker over and lay down in front of the large bay window in Jessica's room. Sunlight poured in and rested on Eclipse's sleek black and brown fur. The big dog 
rolled over on his side to bask in the warm morning sunlight.

* * * * *

"Now Lady Demise why did you not leave the battle scene when I ordered you to?" Queen Hecate's face was full of anger and her eyes glowed with fire. In her right hand she held tightly onto a black goblet.

"I . . . I didn't follow your order's because I believed that I could destroy the pesky sailor suited girl once and for all. That is why I went against your orders. I will never do it again my queen." Lady Demise bowed before her angry queen. She straightened up slowly, she was sure that Queen Hecate would have a mouthful to say.

To Lady Demise's surprise all that Queen Hecate did was smile an evil smirk. "I like determination in my warrior's. That is a very good thing. I'm proud of you Lady Demise, you are someone that will not give up no matter what the odds are."

Lady Demise's jaw dropped and her eyes widened. 'Why isn't Queen Hecate going to give me a warning or something like that. I was sure that she would.'

"Now you may be off, I have left a little gift that I am sure will come in real handy in the finding of the Golden Illusion Jewel. And maybe even the destruction of those sailor suited girl scout's."

"Y . . . yes my queen." Lady Demise bowed and began to disappear in the whirlpool at her feet when Queen Hecate spoke again.

"Oh and remember if you disobey my order's again it will be your head." Queen Hecate smiled an evil smirk. Lady Demise nodded her head slowly and began to disappear into the floor.

* * * * *

The six girls sat under on of the largest cheery trees around Raye's temple. They were all rubbing their eyes and yawning. Everyone was still very tired. Luna and the other two guardians' were the only one's who were getting tears in their eyes from yawning so much.

"No girls' this is what is going to happen, I want each of you to go through the obstacle course. All's you have to do is follow the marks that Eclipse, Artemis and myself have set up for you. So go on one at a time. After one is 
through the course about a quarter of the way the next one will go."

The six girls' each looked in the direction that Luna was pointing with her small black paw. Their eyes widened and their jaws dropped when they saw what the had to do. The course was made up with many jumps, tunnels, and walls to climb and much more.

"We have to go through that!" Serena said in a very shocking tone. Her eyes were still wide with amassment.

Luna just nodded her head and smiled. The six girls continued to stare at the course that lay ahead of them. Serena held her transformation brooch above her head and was about to yell out her transformation phrase but Luna jumped up and knocked the brooch out of Serena's hand. "You are not to transform you must do this on your own."

The six girls sighed and stood up at the starting line. Serena was the first to go. She did pretty good for the first part as she dodged the swing vine's, after Serena came Ami, then Raye, followed by Lita and Mina and lastly Jessica went. Each of the girls did average on the course, but Jessica and Lita tied in their score. Mina and Ami had really close score's and Raye and Serena were in last place with the slowest time.

"Okay girl's now the battle training. You will each fight each other, and this will be broken down into a tournament type style fighting. So let the fighting begin." Artemis hit a gong in the background. Each girl took their turn at fighting and each battle that one of them one put them higher up on the list and closer to the finals that Luna had arranged.

"Now what was Queen Hecate talking about? Where could the "gift" be?" Lady Demise looked around the room for anything that could be the "gift" that Queen Hecate said would be in her quarter's. Lady Demise searched the walls and the furniture until her eyes stopped at the small round table in the middle of the room.

On the table was a glowing magenta ball. Lady Demise walked over to the glowing ball. "This was never here before, I wonder what it could be." Once Lady Demise had made her way to the table the glowing ball flew up into the air and circled around lady Demise's body twice. The ball then stopped in front of Lady Demise's face.

"What are you?" Lady Demise asked as she stared at the glowing ball that hovered in front of her face. She scanned it with her cold eyes.

A voice then came from the magenta ball before Lady Demise's face. "I am the orb of the Darkstar, I serve you and will answer your question's. I am also yours to command." The orb, which was the size of a Basketball, blinked every time a word came from within it.

"Y . . . you can talk, well that is different." Lady Demise put her hand under her chin and thought. "Can you tell be the keeper of the Golden Illusion Jewel?" Lady Demise asked as she moved her head to look up at the orb.

"Oh course I can talk and I'm afraid that I can not tell you the keeper of the Golden Illusion Jewel." Lady Demise let out a sigh of disappointment. "But wait, let me finish I can tell you where you can start your search. Go to the Cherry Hill Temple. There the keeper or carrier as you call it can be found." The orb's glow disappeared and became pitch black. Lady Demise stared into the darkness. Within the darkness she could make out the form of a building beginning to form.

As the building came more into shape Lady Demise instantly recognized the building. "I know where that is, I've been close to it before when I was fighting the sailor scout's. So now I will get ready to attack." Lady Demise 
turned to the orb, which was once again glowing. "Do you have any idea on how I should approach this whole matter?"

"You can disguise yourself and wait until you get the feeling that the keeper of the Golden Illusion Jewel is there." It shouldn't be too hard to pick one out of the many pathetic humans' that will cross your path. Just wait until you can feel the energy of an individuals energy above average."

Lady Demise nodded her head and held her hand above her head. A whirlpool formed at her feet the swirled up around her body covering her from view. When the water died down the form of a woman stood in the dark. A sinister laugh echoed through the circular room.

* * * * *

Luna can we please take a break now? It has been seven hours since we started this! Can we go out for something cool to eat?" Jessica asked as she bent over, her hands were on her knees and sweat was pouring down the 
side of her face.

Luna closed her eyes in thought. When she open them she also opened her mouth. But before she could say any thing Serena cut her off. "Please Luna! We have been trying really hard and we all need a break and if you give us a break I'm sure that we can all work better later."

"Serena! If you hadn't opened your big mouth and let me say what I was going to say then we would be on our way to the Ice cream parlor right now!" Luna screamed at Serena. Serena quietly backed away from the screaming cat. "So you girls go and change and we will all go out for some ice cream, now how does that sounds?" Luna said in a much calmer voice.

Serena ran over to her loyal guardian cat and picked the black ball of fur up in her arms. "Oh thank-you, thank-you!" Serena held Luna close to her. Luna's eyes were starting to go wider then usually from the lack of oxygen.

Luna managed to get her head free from Serena's grasp. "Okay Serena put me down and you girls go get changed, you should all have a extra pair of cloths in Raye's."

Serena dropped Luna to the ground and her and the other five girls almost trampled her. Luna had just managed to dodge out of the way of six pair's of feet. Artemis walked over to Luna. He had a silly grin on his face.

Luna looked at her white counterpart. "Don't say a word!" She said as she collapsed on the ground from the lack of oxygen and the fact that she almost became a kitty cat pancake.

"I believe that this is the place, yes it is." A woman's voice came from the darkness of a tree just out front of the Cherry Tree temple She looked around to see if anyone was around then stepped out of the shadow's. She gazed up at the Japanese writing above the pillars at the entrance. "Yes this would be the place."

The lady walked over to the cement wall and sat down on the cold steps. A gentle breeze blew over her face and caused the scarf that she was wearing over her head to cover her eyes was pulled off her head revealing her pale 
blue skin. She quickly grabbed the scarf and tied it tighter around her neck.

"Now I wait for a person that has an over whelming amount of energy, then once they pass by I will attack and get the Golden Illusion Jewel for my queen!" Lady Demise yelled rather loudly. She quickly looked around to see if anyone had heard her. Luckily no one was around.

Lady Demise sat beside the cement wall for minute's, which soon turned into hours. One after the hours passed, yeah lots of people had passed her but there was no one with an over whelming amount of energy.

Just as she was about to give up and turn back she remember what the queen had told her earlier, so she decided to wait a little bit longer. Voices could be heard in the distance. Lady Demise lifted her head in the direction. Six girls were running towards her. There were two girls that ran ahead the other's one of the girls had long red hair pulled up in a ponytail on the top of her head. While the other had long deep violet hair that went down past her waist.

As the two girls ran up the stairs past Lady Demise, she got this surge of energy through her body. "That girl with the violet hair must be the keeper of the Golden Illusion Jewel!" Lady Demise said as she stood up. Raye and Jessica stopped and looked at Lady Demise as she pulled the scarf off her head. As she pulled it off her cloth's changed like magic back into her original outfit.

Lady Demise grabbed Raye by the neck and held her other had at Raye's chest and a red aura began to glow around Raye. Lady Demise's blue aura began to glow 
around her as she began to draw the Golden Illusion Jewel out of Raye's body.

While Lady Demise was doing this Jessica had sunk off into the bushes, she held out her transformation wand and shouted out her transformation phrase.

"Sun Star . . . . . Power!"

Jessica shouted out the words as she held her transformation item above her head. Jessica then closed her eyes and her transformation wand disappeared into many little orange and gold sparkles and it caused her body to shimmer in the colors of the sparkles as they fell onto her body. 

Her silver tiara appeared with the red jewel in the center. The jewel them emitted a blinding flash of orange light that surrounded Jessica giving her the feel of the bright morning sun on her body. 

A swirl of orange and gold sparkles then warped around her body moving upward as it spun around her body. The body suit of her uniform then appeared. And the bow came out of the heart in the center of her chest. 

Sparkling golden rings then went around her feet forming boots. Then more sparkling rings go around her arms forming her gloves. Soon afterward the golden sparkles go around her waist forming her skirt. 

At that point there is a large burst of golden sparkles that flew up into the air, when the sparkles fell to the ground Sailor Sun was reveled fully transformed. She then did her transformation pose with her standing with one hand across her forehead and the other across her stomach with her legs together. Her long red hair blew to the side.

"Stop!" Sailor Sun yelled as the other four-sailor scout's followed her. Sailor Sun and the other's got into their fighting stances ready to fight.

Lady Demise just laughed as she threw back her head. She then turned her head to face the five girls before her, she looked deep into each of their eyes and when she blinked a blinding flash of blue light went around Lady Demise. The energy kept building up and it went straight towards the five girls.

Sailor Sun was picked up off of her feet by her hero the Daystar Knight. And Sailor Moon was pulled into Tuxedo Mask's strong arms. The other three-sailor scout's managed to dodge the attack without getting to much damage done to them.

"Is that all you have?" The Daystar Knight asked in a very cocky tone as he looked at Lady Demise. He had a childish grin his face.

Lady Demise got angry by the Daystar Knight's comment that her aura began to glow stronger around her body. Sailor Jupiter fired her lighting bolts at Lady Demise. They hit Lady Demise but they also hit Raye who was beginning to lose all consciousness. She was fighting her hardest not to fall asleep even though she wanted to sleep so much. She knew if she did fall asleep then she would have let Lady Demise win and have let her friends down. It was a desperate battle to stay awake.

"Okay guys this isn't going to work! If we hit Lady Demise we are also hitting Raye! What can we do?" Sailor Moon asked as she looked around at all of her friend's faces for answers.

"I've got it! Sailor Sun said as she held her hand above her head. "I call upon the great power's of the star which is the center of the Sol system, bring forth the legendary Sun Fire Saber!" The saber appeared in Sailor Sun's hand. She turned to face Lady Demise. "Now when I surprise Lady Demise one of you have to catch Raye before she hit's the ground, and once you do that take her somewhere safe." 
Sailor Sun said as she looked around at each of her friend's face's to make she that they understood.

Sailor Sun jumped up into the air and did a couple of flips. She landed beside Lady Demise, whom was very shocked to see Sailor Sun at her side when she didn't even see the red head move from where she stood before. Sailor Sun then took her Fire Saber and cut Lady Demise's had.

Lady Demise's train of thought was broken and she let her grip on Raye go. The violet hared girl fell towards the steps below, Sailor Sun's eyes widened as she saw that no one was going to stop Raye from hitting the steps. But just before Raye hit the steps Tuxedo Mask slipped his arms under Raye and carried her off. Sailor Moon ran off behind Tuxedo Mask and Raye.

Lady Demise looked down at her arm that she was holding blood was running down her arm from where the cut was. She stared at horror at the site of all the blood that was coming out of her arm. Her aura had stopped glowing before but it suddenly started around her, it looked like she was surround by blue flames.

Sailor Sun quickly stood back, but not quick enough. Lady Demise reached out her arm and slapped Sailor Sun across the face, it was a very powerful blow, and she 
had expected something much less powerful. Sailor Sun fell backwards and crashed to the steps. The Daystar Knight didn't have enough time to get to Sailor Sun. So
she ended up tumbling down the stair's and landing at the bottom with a loud crash. She lay there in a heap of arms and legs.

The Daystar Knight ran to Sailor Sun's side, he took her had in his. He put her head on his lap. Tears started to form in his eyes as he looked down at the un moving Sailor Sun, she wasn't even breathing. The Daystar Knight set Sailor Sun gently down on the ground. He stood up, a yellow aura was glowing around his body, and he had a look of anger in his eyes. He wasn't looking pleased at all.

"I am the protector of the sailor scout of the red star the sun, fighting for the sol system and searching for my lost love! So you have better prepare yourself because I will penalize you!" The Daystar Knight stood forward. He stood with his legs together. His head was slightly bowed. His eyes were closed and his hands are at his side. He shouted out: 

"Daystar Saber Blaze . . . . . STRIKE!" 

His head snapped up, his eyes opened quickly and he reached for the sword at his side. He pulled the massive sword from it's usually place at his side with both hands. He then hold's the sword out in front of his chest. His aura began to glow strongly around him and the sword. He then leapt forward and stabbed the sword into Lady Demise. The blade began to glow and the victim began to glow the golden color of the blade.

Lady Demise's screams could be heard as the Daystar Knight continued to hold the sword in Lady Demise's chest. A booming voice was the only thing that could be 
heard over the screams. "Lady Demise return this instant before you are destroyed!" Lady Demise shook her head slowly. Then with the last ounce of energy she created 
the whirlpool around her feet that went up around her body.

The Daystar knight stood back taking his sword with him. When the whirlpool died down Lady Demise was gone. The other sailor scout's ran off in the direction that Tuxedo Mask had taken Raye to. They found them in a small clearing behind Raye's house. Serena was kneeling beside here friend. Sailor Mercury, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus all ran over to Raye's side. Raye slowly opened her eyes and was greeted by the reviled faces of her friends.

Raye sat up and looked around. Where is Sailor Sun and the Daystar Knight?" Raye was actually concerned for her friend. The other's all looked around and they remembered that Sailor Sun had fallen the bottom of the step's in front of Raye's temple. They all ran to where their fallen friend was laying.

"Sailor Sun, please wake up, you have to wake up! You can't leave you still have so much to do in your life, your friends need you, your family needs you . . . I . . . need." Tears were beginning to build up in Daystar Knight's eyes. Then Sailor Sun moved slightly. She opened her eyes. The Daystar Knight quickly wiped the tears away from his eyes and held Sailor Sun closes to him. Sailor Sun was too weak to hug back.

Sailor Moon and the other's came around the corner. The Daystar Knight stepped back and let Sailor Sun's fellow scout's check to see if she was okay. The Daystar Knight 
set a golden star shaped flower on Sailor Sun's lap then left. Sailor Sun tried to get up and go after him but she was too weak and fell back down.

Tuxedo Mask carried Sailor Sun into Raye's temple and to the fire. There they saw to Sailor Sun's wounds. Jessica went home wondering what the Daystar Knight was going to say to her as she woke up.
