Sailor Moon Millennium #12 - One On One -

"I'm sorry but Serena's condition doesn't seem to be getting any better. The young man in her room did say that she was talking in her sleep. I'm sure that she will get better soon enough. Over time will we only be able to tell how she is going to be." A man in a white hospital uniform stood at Serena's doorway.

"Yes doctor I understand. But I just hate to see my daughter the way she is. She just lies there, she doesn't move other then to breathe. It seems that she is . . . dead." Serena's mother fell into her husband's arms crying.

"Don't worry dear, she isn't going to die, she will be okay I promise you." Serena's father put a warm arm around his wife trying to comfort her.

"Oh and one more thing, I think you should ask the kind young man to go out and get some fresh air. I'm sure her friends would not mind staying with her." The doctor turned and walked out of the house and down the driveway to his car.

* * * * *

"Darien I think that you should get some fresh air. You have been up in this room for the past four days and you barley leave Serena's side. I know that you really care about her but I think it would be best if you went out for 
a while. Jessica and the other's offered to stay with her while you go out for a couple of hours." Serena's mother stood in her daughter's doorway.

Darien was sitting beside Serena's bed on a small red pillow. His hair was a mess, and you could tell that he hadn't shaved in a long time. "Okay, I'll be back in three hours, I could do with a shower and I really need to shave." Darien said as he stood up hesitantly.

Serena's mother walked Darien out of the room down to the front door. When she opened the door she was greeted by four girls smiling faces. Mina held Artemis in her arms and Eclipse stood behind Jessica. "Oh great why don't yougirls go up and make yourselves at home. I'll be up to Serena's room with some tea."

The four girls ran up the stairs to Serena's room.

"Lord Sith and Lady Inferno come forth at once!" Queen Hecate sat on her throne, her face was actually full of gladness.

Lord Sith stepped out of a green flame, and then Lady Inferno stepped out of a black flame. "Yes my queen, how may me be of service to you on this dark dreary day?" Lady Inferno asked as she stepped forward.

"I just wanted to congratulate both of you on your victory the other day. For once one of your plans worked Lord Sith. You wounded the sailor scouts leader Sailor Moon. Now I want you to go to earth and finish them off. I have also started construction on a secret base on the moon. But never mind that right now, I want you to go forth and get rid of the rest of the sailor scouts. They must be destroyed!"

"Yes my queen." Lord Sith and Lady Inferno said in unison. They both bowed before their queen and were about to disappear in their flames when the queen spoke up.

"Oh but before you go, Lady Inferno I would like you to have this." Queen Hecate held out her hand and a sword appeared in her hand. The sword had a black blade and a black handle. On the handle was the sign of mars but it was upside-down. The handle was also decorated with small red gems.

Lady Inferno stepped forward to accept her gift from the queen. "Thank-you my queen." She bowed then disappeared in a black flame.

Lord Sith turned to look at his queen puzzled. "Why does she get the sword of Darkness? I have been working for you much longer then she has. Why does she get it?"

"You fool! How dare you question me?!" The queen said as she stood up. "If you didn't daydream during your history classes when you were younger then you would remember that only a woman can wield the sword. And you are not a woman!" Queen Hecate dismissed Lord Sith with a quick swish of her hand.

* * * * *

"Luna do you have any ideas that would help us get Serena back awake? We can't just leave her like this, I hate to see her so still and lifeless." Jessica turned from Luna to Serena's body.

Luna sat at the side of Serena's bed in thought for a while. Just as Luna was going to say something the bedroom door was swung open and Serena's mother walked in, in her hands she had a try of tea and biscuits. "Here you 
go girls, I hope that you enjoy them. Serena is very lucky to have friends like you girls. You are so caring, and always there for her." Serena's mother set the tray down on the small table, and then she turned and left the room.

"Anyway like I was about to say. We could try to use your scout powers. Each of you can say the phrase that you use to transform, but don't hold your transformation wands above your head you hold them over Serena's body."

Each of the girls dug into their pockets and pulled out their transformation wands.

"MERCURY STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"VENUS STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"SUN STAR . . . . . POWER!"

Each of the girl's auras glowed around their bodies. Amy's body went blue, Lita's went green, Mina's went orange, and Jessica's went back and forth from red and gold. They each held their transformation wands over Serena's 
body.

Nothing happened at first. But Serena started to open her eyes slowly. "Yes we have her back!" Jessica said as she looked down at Serena. Then Serena closed her eyes and went back into her deep sleep. Looks of disappointment 
spread across each of the girls faces. "NO! We had her what went wrong?" Jessica asked the other's as tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"I know why it didn't work." Everyone turned to look at Amy. "You have to remember that we are missing another sailor scout, we are missing someone, we are missing Raye. We must have her to get Serena back.

"But how are we going to be able to do that? Sailor Moon is the one that has the healing wand and none of us can use that to turn Lady Inferno back to her true self." Lita said as she looked at Amy and Luna for answers.

"There must be another way, I will scan Lady Inferno the next time that we run into her and Lord Sith. I'm sure that there is something that we can do to get Sailor Mars, Raye, back."

"Well lets have this lovely tea that Serena's mother has prepared for us." Lita reached over and picked up the teacups and handed them out to each of her friends. The room soon was filled with laughter as they talked about 
Serena being a complete klutz, trying to lighten the mood.

* * * * *

Darien walked along the street, not many people were out walking because the sky was starting become gray with rain clouds. If someone was on the street, they were making their way towards their home.

Darien went into the Crown Game Center. Andrew greeted him at the door. "Hey Darien I heard about what happened to Serena, she's your girl-friend now isn't she?" Andrew saw the look on Darien's face when he said Serena's name. " I'm sure that she is going to be okay. Come on I was just getting off my shift why don't we go to the café to get something to eat." Darien nodded his head and followed Andrew down the street a short ways to the café.

When Andrew open the door a little bell rang at the top of the door. Andrew's sister walked out of the kitchen. She smiled at Darien and Andrew. "I know what you two want, I'll be back in a minute." She disappeared into the small café kitchen.

A few minutes later she appeared from the kitchen in her hands she held a green tray, on top of the tray were two banana-spilt sundaes. She set on down in front of Darien and the other down in front of her brother.

"How much will these be?" Darien asked as he reached into his pocket for his wallet.

"Don't worry about it Darien, it is on the house, I know what happened and I'm sorry, I would have been down to see Serena." Darien's face turned from happy and content to sad. Once Andrew's sister noticed this she quickly moved on. "But I have been to busy with work, I did send her some flowers and a gift. Do you mind if a join you. I was just about to go on my break.

Darien indicated for her to sit down. He slid down the bench so he was sitting by the window. He just gazed out the window at the empty streets. 'Oh Serena please come back to me.'

* * * * *

"It is time, I'm sure that the sailor scout's will come here to save the innocent, or whatever they call them." Lord Sith hovered above the street of Tokyo looking for a place to attack. "That looks like a great place." Lord Sith said as he pointed down at the street, it isn't too far from the park, this is great! This is going to be great!" Lord Sith rubbed his hands together with greed. An evil grin spread across his face. "Yes today will be the end of the sailor scouts!"

"Will you stop, just remember what to do! Don't screw this up!" Lady Inferno appeared in front of Lord Sith, her hands were on her hips. "Don't screw this up!" With those words Lady Inferno was gone as fast as she had come.

* * * * *

Darien continued to stare out the window, then up in the sky he saw a large green fireball heading straight towards the café. "Everyone get down!" Darien yelled as he grabbed Andrew and his sister and shoved them under the table. The fireball smashed right through the window, glass went everywhere. Andrew and his sister were knocked unconscious from the blast. The rest of the people in the café were also knocked unconscious or had fainted from 
fear.

Darien got up and ran out the café as fast as he could. He ran down the street towards Serena's house as fast as he could. He knew that he had to hurry.

Serena's bedroom door was threw open. Everyone got up startled and stood in their fighting stances ready for trouble. Darien barged threw Serena's bedroom door. He was out of breath as he walked over to the four startled 
girls.

"You . . . you have . . . to . . . go to . . . the small café . . . Lord Sith . . . is attacking!" Darien said as he collapsed by Serena's bed. He held on to Serena's hand. "You must go! I'll stay . . . here."

The four girls nodded and pulled their transformation wands out of their pockets. And they each held them above their heads.

"MERCURY STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"VENUS STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"SUN STAR . . . . . POWER!"

After each of the girls had gone threw their transformation process they ran out the door down the stairs towards the café at full speed. Luna, Artemis and Eclipse were at their heels. 

* * * * *

"This is easier then taking candy from a baby." Lord Sith flew into the window that he had smashed with a fireball earlier. He looked around at all the unconscious people that lay around the room. "Where to begin, where to begin." Lord Sith looked around the room, his eyes stopped on Andrew and his sister. He put his hand out and a green glow surround the two bodies.

"Leave them alone! In the name of the sun, I will get you for what you have done to my friend and fellow scout! Now prepare for my attacks of fire. In the name of the red star the sun you will die!" Sailor Sun stepped through the
broken window.

"She does good at the leader role doesn't she?" Eclipse said as he turned his attention from Sailor Sun to the two cats that sat beside him.

"And I am Sailor Mercury, I fight for the watery planet Mercury, in the name of my planet I will vanquish you!" Mercury got into her fighting stance ready to attack.

"I am Sailor Jupiter, I fight in the name of my planet Jupiter! How dare you destroy these poor people's lives, by taking something that isn't yours!" Sailor Jupiter also got into her fighting stance.

Sailor Venus stood there for a few seconds, no one said anything, she just stared at Lord Sith's green eyes. "Oh . . . yes I am Sailor Venus, in the name of the planet of eternal love I will vanquish you!" Sailor Venus got into her 
fighting stance.

"Okay now that you are done your stupid introduction, can we get on with the fight. After all this time I do know who you are you just waist fighting time with your little speeches." Lord Sith put his arms across his chest. "I have 
no time for this, meet me in the center of the Tokyo Park and we will finish this there." With those words Lord Sith disappeared in a green flame.

"Come on lets go." Sailor Jupiter said as she jumped out of the window.

"No wait, it might be a trap or something, we can't go rushing into something like this we have to come up with a plan or something." Sailor Sun turned towards Sailor Mercury. "I want you to do a scan of the park to see if there is any major darkstar-energy coming out of the park."

Sailor Mercury got out her mini computer and typed around on some of the small buttons. "I don't see anything right now, I think that we will be alright, nothing that the sailor scouts can't handle." Sailor Mercury said 
as she looked up at her friends and put her mini computer away.

The four girls ran off towards the park, Eclipse, Luna and Artemis were at their heels yet again.

* * * * *

"Is everything ready Lady Inferno?" Lord Sith stepped out of a large green flame. He stepped towards Lady Inferno.

"Yes everything is ready, are the stupid scouts on their way?" Lady Inferno turned to face her comrade. She had an evil grin on her face.

"Yes the scout's are on their way, they should be here in a few minutes. Do you have the sword?" Lord Sith looked in the direction of the café then back at Lady Inferno.

"Yes you fool, of course I have the sword, I think that we should bash them around a bit until I destroy them with the dark blade of Darkness!" Lady Inferno let out an evil laugh that echoed through the park. The sky above was 
starting to get darker with every passing minute.

* * * * *

"Okay girls stop. Look over there." Eclipse indicated Lady Inferno who held the black sword in her hands. "That is the Sword of Darkness. It is a very powerful sword so be careful. But before you girls go in there I want to give Sailor Sun something.

"What is it Eclipse?" Sailor Sun asked as her face had a curious look spread across it. Eclipse did a back flip up into the air. There was a small flash of red light. From the red light fell a sword. Sailor Sun held out her hands, the sword slowly floated down until it rested upon her palms. "What is this?" Sailor Sun asked as she rubbed her hand across the golden handle and all the small jewels.

"This is the Sun Fire Saber. I believe that you have enough experience to do well with it. This is what you will use to get Lady Inferno back to Sailor Mars. Now go and remember to be careful."

Sailor Sun and the other's nodded. They all ran towards the clearing where Lady Inferno and Lord Sith waited. "Here they come now." Lord Sith said as he looked at the four girls. "Now the party begins!" Lord Sith raised his arms 
to the air. There was a blinding white light and a powerful gust that knocked the sailors scout's off their feet sending them flying into the air.

Sailor Mercury stood up and held her arms out in front of her face. 

"MERCURY BLIZZARD STORM!" 

The small icicles circled around Lord Sith, blocking him from all of their eyes. When the storm had cleared away Lord Sith was lying on the ground. He was encased in a large ice cube.

"Is that all that you have got?" Lady Inferno threw back her head and laughed. "Now it is my turn" She held the sword of Darkness above her head. "I call upon the power's of the Darkstar Galaxy! Lend me your power!" The sword began to glow a deep blood red color. 

Lady Inferno shot a blast of the energy at Sailor Mercury. She was flung across the walkway and landed ten feet from where she was just standing. Sailor Jupiter was the next one. When she hit the ground she let out a scream
of pain. Then Lady Inferno shot the blood red energy at Sailor Venus. She landed beside Sailor Mercury and Sailor Jupiter.

Sailor Sun reached her hand above her head. I call upon the great power's of the star which is the center of the Sol system, bring forth the legendary Sun Fire Saber!" 

There was a bright flash of orange light and the saber appeared in her right hand. "Now we can battle fairly, no magic tricks!" Sailor Sun said as she stepped towards Lady Inferno.

"Agreed." Lady Inferno floated down to the ground. She held the Sword of Darkness out in front of her. Sailor Sun did the same with her Fire Saber. When the two swords clanged together. A loud clap of thunder echoed through the air. A bright flash of lighting followed it.

Lady Inferno swung at Sailor Sun's head. But Sailor Sun could see it coming so she ducked and rolled off to the side. Lady Inferno ran over to where Sailor Sun now stood. She took a swing at Sailor Sun's legs. But she saw it coming so she did a flip over Lady Inferno and ran down her back. 

Lady Inferno became furious with Sailor Sun's action. She continuously lashed at Sailor Sun. Each one Sailor Sun dodged skillfully. But the last one she wasn't fast enough and Lady Inferno's sword blade cut into Sailor Sun's arm.

Sailor Sun grabbed her arm with her left hand. When she lifted her hand away it was covered in blood. "Take this!" Sailor Sun screamed at the top of her lungs. She lashed at Lady Inferno. She missed each time.

"Oh come on, I'm sure that you must have more then that!" Lady Inferno said in a teasing tone." Come on take your best shot!" Lady Inferno said as she set her sword at her side. Giving Sailor Sun a clear shot at her heart.

Sailor Mercury struggled to her knees slowly, she touched her earring and her VR Visor appeared across her eyes. She scanned over Lady Inferno looking for a spot that Sailor Sun could hit with her sword to get her back to Sailor
Mars.

"Come take you shot, what are you waiting for?" Lady Inferno said impatiently as she shifted her weight to the other foot. Sailor Sun continued to keep her position. She held the saber with both hands. Her right foot was ahead more  then her left foot. This position gave her an easy escape in all directions.

"Sailor Sun aim for her choker! That is what is keeping her from remembering her true self!" Sailor Mercury yelled as she slowly stood up. "Her choker aim for her choker!"

Sailor Sun turned to look at Sailor Mercury then back at Lady Inferno. "That is what I was waiting for!" Sailor Sun swung her sword at Lady Inferno's throat. Lady Inferno wasn't able to move in time. The choker was cut into two pieces, it fell to the ground. Lady Inferno grabbed at her 
throat and she also fell to the ground.

The long skirt that Lady Inferno had worn was slowly going up to the length of Sailor Mars' skirt. There was a bright flash of red light and when it died down Sailor Mars lay on the ground still.

"Is, is she dead?" Sailor Jupiter asked as she looked down at Sailor Mars' unmoving body.

"Who are you calling dead?" Sailor Mars asked as she sat up and looked at her friends and fellow sailor scouts.

"Oh, you are alright!" Sailor Sun, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus all gave Sailor Mars a big hug.

"What is going on?" Sailor Mars asked as her friends backed up to give herself some air.

"You were brainwashed and were fighting against us. But thanks to Sailor Sun and Sailor Mercury you are back to your old self!" Sailor Jupiter said as she gave Sailor Mars another hug.

"The last thing that I remember is these tubes being hooked up to me by Lord Sith. Then everything went black. And then I wake up here in the park with all of you hovering over me."

"No!" the five girls turned to look in the direction of the voice. Lord Sith had his hands on his head. He was staring at the choker that was around Lady Inferno's neck before. "This can't be happening! The queen is going to have my head!" A look of sadness came over Sailor Venus's face. Lord Sith disappeared in a green flame.

"Where is Sailor Moon?" Sailor Mars asked as she stood up. The other's all looked at each other.

"Come on, now me can wake her up from her coma. Come on lets go!" Sailor Sun grabbed Sailor Mars' hand and ran of in the direction of Serena's house.

"MERCURY STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"MARS STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"JUPITER STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"VENUS STAR . . . . . POWER!"

"SUN STAR . . . . . POWER!"

The five girls held their transformation sticks over Serena's body. They each began to glow the color of their auras. The color's combined and surround Serena's body. When the light died down Serena was lying with her eyes open. She sat up and looked at her friends.

"I want some ice cream." Everyone in the room began to laugh. They all gave Serena a hug and Darien sat beside Serena. He wrapped his arms around her body. Tears were pouring down his cheeks.

Serena's mother and father came into the room to see what was going on. They both ran to Serena and gave her a big hug. Sammy came up to see what was going on when he saw that Serena was awake he gave her a big hug as well.

"Let's all go out for some ice cream!" Jessica suggested as she patted Eclipse on the head. Everyone in the room got up and got on their shoes then they all went out for ice cream.
